... I know this is the worst season for the Red Sox in at least 15 years, probably more, but giving up 6 runs in the bottom of the 9th, and managing to lose 7-4 in a game you were ahead right to the end? That has to be high on the list of their most pathetic games this year... :(

They did get blown out like 18-2 one game and had to have an outfielder pitching in another. I just think they don't give a fuck anymore.

Where the shit is that REDS WIN gif? You have a team that's winning and you can't even be bothered to drop dat K-pop gif bomb.

You sicken me.

Yeah, but here they entered the bottom of the 9th ahead 4-1, and managed to lose the game 7-4, in nine innings! That's bad. You're right though, that game where they gave up 14-15 runs in two innings was even worse. It made it worse that that was before the season was completely lost, too...

In the awkward position of rooting for the Yankees for the next few days.

Need them to sweep the A's otherwise the only chance left is catching the Showalters.

Let's see what this Chris Carpenter fellow can do - minus one rib.

That Yadi? I have no reason to believe he is juicing... but the sudden mindblowing increase in statistical output by any player raises an eyebrow, which is I suppose the result of the steroids era. Dude's good, regardless.
Maybe, maybe not. If anyone is juicing on the Cards, I'd be looking first at Matt Holliday tbh. Ripped as fuck and just muscles the ball past fielders and fences. As for Yadi, it's not unusual for a player to develop power later, right? His brothers were the same way, but for all we know they were juicing too. Steroids or not, his hitting ability has come a long way since that .216 batting average in 2006.

Without trying to paraphrase TLR, Yadi's my favorite Card because of his defense behind the plate; any offense we get from him is a bonus. Shame that he'a going to lose out on the MVP to Posey - can't see Yadi repeating this kind of an offensive season again...unless he really is roiding lol.

SAN FRANCISCO – In an unprecedented agreement between Major League Baseball and union officials, suspended Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera will be ruled ineligible to win the 2012 NL batting title, sources told CSNBayArea.com.

Cabrera asked to be removed from consideration on Wednesday, when his representatives sent a letter to union officials. The Players’ Association worked out a one-time amendment to Rule 10.22(a) with MLB officials on Thursday, one day after Commissioner Bud Selig said publicly that he was not likely to take action on the matter.

Cabrera, who is hitting .346, will finish one plate appearance short of qualifying for the batting title. Rule 10.22(a) permits a player to be recognized as the official winner if extra hitless at-bats are added to his average and it remains higher than any qualifying player. (Cabrera’s average would fall from .3464 to .3456 – still .346 when rounded up.)

Under terms of the agreement, Rule 10.22(a) will not apply to suspended players.

Brewers have acquired Yorvit Torrealba from the Blue Jays in exchange for cash considerations. Torrealba will join the team tomorrow in DC and will wear #3. Unless an injury occurs, he will be ineligible for the Brewers postseason roster if they make it.

Rosenthal reports the Marlins are probably going to fire Ozzie Guillen after this season and have already interviewed two potential replacements.
