Can't lie. Looks like a balk to me.seems like every teheran start his pick off move gets questioned. Still hasn't been called on a balk yet.

Only an out if Angel Hernandez can't see it.It's only a balk if an umpire thinks its a balk.
Another loss in the bucket.
Chris Perez has deleted his Twitter account.
Lol he blocked me when they swept the Tigers in a series and he proclaimed "what can I say, good clubs when games".
YEEESSSGive me the Mets pen!
Ike Davis...
oh my god plz just hit it in the air.
they will be fine. This many strike outs is going to catch up with the Braves over the long haul. :/

They lost tonight because of a shaky bullpen. Strikeouts don't correlate well with run scoring.
How do you feel when you're leading the Cubs 4-0 at home? You guys know that feeling when it doesn't matter if your team is down 5 runs in the top of the first, you still think you are convinced you are going to win? That's what I am feeling right now.
Also another example of W-L record being a terrible judge of pitcher talent in said small sample size.Seth Maness has now pitched 10 innings in his MLB career.
He is 4-1. Small sample sizes can be so fun!
So happy to see Ike for ONCE hit a ball with authority and get cheers from the crowd. Good win to get one game at least, they should've had 2 of 3.before he goes to Triple-A Las Vegas
Not to get overdramatic, but that Indians loss today feels like the wheels coming off the season. One of those moments when you look back on a season as a point to where it all falls apart.

Well, the very very weak correlation was the point there. The full article makes a pretty compelling argument if you read it.The trendline suggests that a 1% difference comes out to 2 runs a game. It amazes me that an analysis can show that graph, with that trendline, and then make the conclusion that it's not significant.

How long will Lyons be up for?Carlos Martinez has been sent back to AAA, presumably to stretch out as a starter. Matheny's mancrush Victor Marte is up in his place. There are rumblings that last year's first round pick, Michael Wacha, will be up later in the week to make his MLB debut.
Wainwright/Shelby/Lynn/Wacha/Martinez in the near future? Perhaps with Carpenter/Westbrook somewhere in there if their health cooperates.
