Pirates and Royals in the playoffs would be crazy.
Yeah, if its not a David vs Goliath or Goliath vs Goliath matchup then the average person would lose interest. I'd personally love to see it happen though.I'd be so fucking stoked for a Pirates/Royals WS.
MLB would absolutely hate that though, haha.
You wait until the final week of the season to stick your chest out?
I see that you haven't met DP.Why so salty?
How many games did you watch this year?
Why so insular?
Nevermind, you're an NBA-gaf type.
Year of the ump. Hah but who cares
You wait until the final week of the season to stick your chest out?
And you got offended when I called you salty.
This KC playoff push is really happening, isn't it?

Royals gonna lose, aren't they?
Maybe. If the Mariners don't swing at all.
It's not groups that are super insular, it's individuals. Like yourself. Good luck in the playoffs! What are you talking about? NFL gaf is the one that's insular.
Lol. Ump wanted to go home

I'm really worried about Roy Halladay. He's sweating bad.
There is something wrong with him.

also player quotes on the new system from fangraphsThe 2013 season marks the first season Rawlings formally incorporates sabermetrics as a component of the two Award platforms.
Of course Brendan Ryan would be in favor of it. Dude should have won a couple of gold gloves.first I have heard of this:

What push? They arent really moving
Right now 3 games back (156 games)
Sept 17th 3.5 games back
Sept 10 3 games back
Sept 1st 5.5 games back (136 games)
So basically in the course of September and currently 20 games they have gained 2.5 games on WC2 and the season has basically nothing left and they are still 3 out
I'm loving this NL Central race. As much as I want the Cards to win of course, the idea of a 3 way tie would be interesting.
http://www.gammonsdaily.com/matt-carpenter-is-always-ahead-in-the-count/The league average position player hits .172/.202/.257 with a .203 wOBA after an 0-2 count. Matt Carpenter has hit .339/.362/.545 with a .387 wOBA in 127 PA this year after falling behind 0-2 . To give you an idea, only 12 players have a better wOBA than that for the entire season. Carpenter after an 0-2 count is actually better than Carpenter when he doesnt fall behind 0-2. Some of that is randomness, but it also speaks to patience. When Carpenter takes his time selecting a pitch, he often does damage.
Four days later and we just hear about this NOW?So it turns out the Dodgers peed in the DBacks' pool.
I'm betting it was Puig.

I'm just excited to see one division have 3 post season representatives for the first time in MLB history. Only took 2 seasons of the double wildcard to make it happen!
I'm betting it was Puig.
