Yamauchi never sold his shares. He just set up a plan that Nintendo of America would inherit the team after he died. So, NoA now owns the Mariners, as of today. What will they do with the team, though? Who knows, we'll see.

Meh, it's a baseball season. It will have ups and downs. Even if the Dodgers lose today, it would be extremely unlikely that they miss the postseason. The bigger issue is how they'll do in the first round, but their recent play is more indicative of players resting than anything else.

I don't think any of us suggested the Dodgers missing the playoffs. Our recent form is cause for concern. You don't want to be heading into the playoffs with this type of form. The bullpen is trash right now and our starters haven't looked as good as they can be.

Bullpen as a whole has been mediocre to bad lately. Wonder if the workload is catching up to those two. Matheny has leaned on them pretty hard over the season since they were the only reliable arms in the bullpen for a while.

Routinely using Maness for one batter doesn't help.
