America and China are too large to ever occupy but in a conventional war over Taiwan for example America would push Chinas shit in but unlike a lot of recent conflicts the State will take a lot more casualties. It doesn't take a lot of skill or courage to launch 500 missiles at a US Navy bottle group and all it takes is 1 or 2 to get though to start killing people.

It depends. Almost everything in China is on one coast.

With USA, the irony is it becomes stronger without blue cities.

Well to be fair, the world multipolar only because USA is shackled by the international law and the "moral superiority". International law shackled USA from seizing tankers and dealing with the cartels, and the "moral superiority" prevents USA from actually solving problems and sometimes creates problems like "installing democracies", instead of talking about the.

Its ridiculous to think that the USA could beat China in a land war and occupy them without people in China actually wanting the US to take over. USA could strike the coastal cities and do a lot of damage but the Chinese are ready for that.

All you need to do is blockade China from the sea and it would all be over (for most of them). I'm sure they have large stockpiles but they are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too dependent on imports to survive for long. I'm sure they have contingency plans for seizing as many regional areas of food production as possible the instant the balloon goes up but they are, oddly enough, kinda ringed in like Mordor with mountain ranges and a massive desert defining many of their borders.

If their calculation is probably that the Chinese people are willing to put up with a lot more pain and inconvenience than the American public, and that they could do something like get away with paying the price for an action like destroying Taiwan. And that the US would break first. They are probably correct.

Well, i think their calculation is that the "will of the Chinese people is whatever I tell them it is" so I'm not sure how much that factors in

That's right but it is also a lot easier to manage if they have someone else to blame for their suffering.

It seems like the situation with Iran is related to Qatari and Saudi Arabia position. I guess Saudi Arabia does not want the strike. I guess if Iran falls, Saudi Arabia will become isolated as a lot of countries around it are becoming aligned with Israel so SA will lose its position of "authority".

Arab countries in the region are not aligned with Israel. They just have normalized relations. So they are not allies.
Saudi Arabia, before the Hamas attacks, was on the verge of normalizing relations with Israel. But they both agree on several things, one of the most important being that Iran's regime is a great threat.

Oh, I've little doubt SA wants Iran to crumble, but just do it in such a way that SA looks good afterwards. It's all about that oil, baby.
