So the notion that local Iranian common folk will rise up with just a little nudging by America is perhaps a bit optimistic.

Distance and speed of communication played towards our advantage against the British. We were able to slow walk our way towards a unified front across the colonies while waiting for the King to respond to our grievances. It is quite the opposite for the Iranian people. I went on a recent dive and a lot of the people that were corresponding with Epstein were academics. For think tank events, intellectual "work shops" on the island and lavish dinners to discuss politics, funding research and straight up partying.
Politicians, Intellectuals, movie stars, economists, lawyers, athletes… the list goes on.
