I'm quickly finding out MHWiki sucks compared to the guide.
I was also hunting for horn yesterday. I'm pretty sure I broke those things(using hammer) but still no glitter on floor. The horn was broken actually (at least I think it is), just no glitters and no horn reward at the end. I'll try once more later.
I love this game. And I love having the ability to transfer my save between using an HD machine with pretty graphics & online or taking advantage of the portability aspect of the 3DS.
That is all.
For now yeah.
The only area the guide kinda sucks at is the weapon trees (there aren't any, lol) but that Imgur gallery makes up for that deficiency.
Do it. You won't ever wanna play solo when you can play online. It's like a different game.Don't say things like this... I almost bought a WiiU this morning just because I want play this game on TV and keep the 3DS for commuting... I... Must... Resist...
Still need someone?
What the fuck.
So I did all the tour quests by submitting tickets, and I get to my first real hunt called "Playing with Fire." I get destroyed by him three separate times, I have no idea if he was even close to dying. He was invincible most of the time and he does this damn clap move that takes off so much health. Does his health regen every time I die? How do I actually kill this thing? THIS IS THE FIRST ENEMY IN THE GAME.
What the fuck.

Fuck Royal Ludroth and fuck Aqua Sacs man. I've downed him 10 times now and all I have to answer for is 1 aqua sac???
Those things take ages to kill with dual blades.

It would be cool if the game would actually tell you where to get what drops. I mean yeah you learn over time and from wikis but it just seems cumbersome looking at what you need to upgrade then having to go to your PC to look it up.
Yay, made my Meggido GS last night, got Sharp+1 + HGE + Unsheath Crit, and hit HR26. Feels good man.
What the fuck.

It might be okay if you could have the browser up while playing the game, but it's the game or the browser, pick one. Also, Wii U app load times.Wii U browser is pretty awesome for this imo, just a click away and you can be on the wiki looking things up.
Also i'm seriously thinking about getting a Wii U Pro Controller, the Gamepad's charge is a fucking joke when playing this game...
Wait, isn't Meggido a hammer?
That peco post got me to wondering something since this isn't the first time we've seen people go to the port first by accident. How are they doing that? You always boot up the game in the moga village so how and why are brand new people who haven't even done 1 quest yet somehow getting to the port area?
Just something that made me curious.

You have to talk to a bunch of random people in order to get to the first village "quest".That peco post got me to wondering something since this isn't the first time we've seen people go to the port first by accident. Aqua Sacs are only a 10% chance to carve, but a 25% reward for capturing. Trying capping him instead.
Capture it, not kill it.
I don't think I've ever had a Royal Ludroth battle take more than ten minutes with Dual Swords. He's pure demonizing fuel, since most of his attacks are based on his front so I have complete freedom in hacking away from behind or on the side.
Where can I find Carbalite ore? I am having no luck.
What the fuck.

Meggido Blaze is a GS - 1008 / 600 fire, which upgrades into The Depotheosis - 1056 / 720 fire

Help! Monster Bone L, where?
The same happened to me too. I had a bit of experience killing the rabbit in the demo, so I was doing alright until a huge dragon was summoned. At first I thought it was a scripted scene and it would help me.... Then I realised its true intentions. This has been the most epic fight so far for me.LOL laughing with you not at you. The beginning of the game doesn't explain things very well. I can imagine trying to kill Querepeco at that point has you frustrated enough to about throw your controller.
Peco has taken Barroth's place as the newbie killer.
Monster Bone L
Hunting Fleet - Distant Isle (Set B: 5%) x2
Hunting Fleet - No Man's Land (10%) x2
Edit- This doesn't seem right. I think you can get it from various other places... hmm...
Same here, Peco was alright even though I was trying a new weapon and it didn't have green level. Royal Ludroth was much more intense. From then onwards it's all been easy to ok.That was the case for me, since I played the demo for Tri over and over until I beat him before I let myself buy the final game. Took a ton of tries but I did.
I beat Barroth on my first try and was surprised to learn of his noob killer reputation. Honestly, R Ludroth gave me far more trouble.
