Well yeah. I'm not a biochemist and honestly dont understand half the science in a lot of the journals/articles that I've been reading so I tend to gravitate to the easier, dumbed down science from people I trust like Robb Wolf.
Sorry I cant explain it further but whether you believe the articles or not I think the explanation is fairly simple to understand in that specific link.
Wolff uses a bunch of word salad and combines the different effects of artificial sweeteners, saccharine, and regular sweeteners to overstate the idea he is trying to promote.
Look closely at the studies he mentions. Note that artificial sweeteners have the least amount of impact.
I MUCH prefer water/seltzer over soda these days. When I was borderline obese and making some pretty drastic changes to my diet, both quality and calorie-wise, the stuff was a godsend. Still is, sometimes, but black cherry seltzer is the go-to. More crisp, you know?
My college had both, and if it weren't for a friend of mine giving us free chipotle, we would have never gone there. It was a sad day when he got fired...for giving away free chipotle. I guess nobody was surprised.
Lol, that's exactly what I eat from Chipotle. Chicken, brown rice, black beans, but no double serving. 500 calories. I just wanted to get what tasted best without all the extra crap. Feels even better that the "pound for pound, strongest wrestler in the wwe" is eating the same thing essentially.
I see it this way. Mexican restaurants open over here which compared to all the Asian restaurants would be a novelty. People like the food but will be interested in a faster way to obtain it. BOOM, Mexican fast food franchise stores.
Just got a chicken bowl and 3 soft corn steak tacos to fuel me through deadlifts today. Calculated at 1000 calories so after the gym I can have another large 1000 calorie meal.
I really want chipotle now. I'm 6'3, 180lbs, and quite active so it's one of the few affordable places that will fill me up and not be some nasty fast food burger shit.
I don't get the point of this article. Most other places, especially in the fast food segment have things that are much worse for you and also in sit down restaurants.
