You also can do co-op in fable 2.

co-sign. My cousin and I beat Gears together, and it was more fun then I ever had playing that game single-player. I probably won't be getting TH eitherbatbeg said:Good for you, I just like to play games with friends next to me. For me, I now have no interest, and apparently more options = bad, as so many games these days are neglecting local multiplayer :-\
Plus, split-screen? Have you ever played a dungeon crawler?

soldat7 said:I've done 4-player coop in Halo 3 only a handful of times. Getting 3 of your friends to consistently play through the game with you is a pain in the butt.

Where's the info on the demo!?CPaladino said:Co-Optimus had an interview with him go up this morning, and one of the questions they asked was about 2 vs. 4 (page 5 of the interview)
Denis - from the interview:
With 4 players, it would be too hectic. Once you get hands-on with Too Human you may actually agree 4 players would be pretty chaotic to figure out what the hell is going on.
Wired said:This is only the start. A tester tells me about that during an internal competition to see what was possible, he constructed a functioning space shuttle, complete with ejectable boosters. When they were sent spinning into the ether, a pair of wings slid into place, allowing you to fly the titan.
Wat. I've gone through half the game MULTIPLE TIMES in one sitting in 4p co-op.soldat7 said:I've done 4-player coop in Halo 3 only a handful of times. Getting 3 of your friends to consistently play through the game with you is a pain in the butt.
I'm sure Too Human will actually play better with only 2.

I'll stop short of saying "I definitley wont get it now!" but this is a letdown for sure. We shall see.soldat7 said:It's funny how everyone is jumping to conclusions on Too Human. Oh wait, that's been happening for 2 years now.
AtomicShroom said:Errr... what have they done to Banjo?
That trailer does not make me want the game. Blowing up Mario's head feels both arrogant and pretentious. The music is just the classic Banjo riff looping over and over, and it got annoying very fast.
It seems like they played too much of Kingdom Hearts and just stole its Gummi ship construction idea, which I don't know anyone actually enjoyed to begin with. It also looks like they basically wanted this to be a mix of Jak and Ratchet drenched in Banjo. Ugh.
Fuck you, Rare! Do not want!
Darunia said:Banjo 3 trailer is awesome but...
what did they do to the music theme, jesus christ

C4Lukins said:They really need to just delay Too Human again. If you are going to remove the most compelling thing about the game and the most compelling aspect of that particular genre then do not release it unitl you are ready. This is as dumb as it gets.

Regardless, almost two Gears games released before one Too Human game with stripped-down featureset? Does MS contract Greenberg to heckle their own games, by any chance?Ghost said:Is this right?
Gears (UE3) September(ish) 2008 = 4 Player Co-op
Too Human (Not UE3) August 2008 = Not 4 player co-op
Edit: oh wait sorry I thought 4 player coop was confirmed for gears, oops. Never mind.
soldat7 said:Seriously. Half this thread will probably end up playing and enjoying Too Human at some point.
Folks should at least wait for the demo before commencing the attack.
soco said:no one liked the gummiship because it was pointless. you could pretty much make it through the entire game without ever touching the gummiship, and it was just for the on rails stuff.
here the vehicles serve a purpose other than just racing. you're solving platformer like puzzles and getting yourself to new places in levels.
i wouldn't even try judging the music from a teaser trailer. i'd wait for more videos.
Wired said:A long-jump event is presented, where you simply have to hurtle down a ramp. The machine's power is then cut, and it's a test of how far you can make it roll. First, a vehicle covered with rocket-thrusters takes the mark, a seemingly ideal machine for the task. It rockets forth and gets a decent enough score. The next contender seems unassuming, with only a fraction of the obvious thrusters... but as it takes to the air, its secret is revealed. The whole chassis is ejected away, revealing a much smaller sphere which speeds through the air without the enormous mass, before rolling ever-onwards after hitting the ground.

Graphicly it looks great but that's about the nicest thing I could say judging from the trailer. Framerate looks very poor aswell.

I mean come on SK! Fucking Kingdom Under Fire:COD had four-player coop and your game won't?
We have reduced it to 2-player co-op. The reason we did that is we looked at it, and the way the game is really frantic, and when you have a lot of guys zooming around. We weren't sure that would play out the best. There were also all kinds of balancing issues. That's where we are spending the majority of our time now. People say it looks finished, but we are balancing the RPG system. In order to do it right, and make sure co-op is the best it could be, right now we have it at 2 players. We though that was the absolute right thing to do for the game, and from a gamers point of view....
