*unshits katana*

got a problem with gamers, gentlesir?

Say you're from NeoGAF

Well played

That sounds dangerous. You OK, buddy?

come again?

wouldn't unshitting a katana mean shoving it up your ass?

Sorry, unshitting a katana has painted a very vivid picture in my head. lol

I know lots of these types of gamers. It's passion, man! PASSION! :P

I haven't had a laugh this good in a while. Thanks

Fedoras are cool, when they're paired with a cool person like Indiana Jones to film noir characters.... not a man with a pony tail wearing a Pokemon t-shirt.

This.

Fedoras in real life are effectively ruined. I know it's a stereotype, but people just see them as a calling card of obnoxious nerds now. Unless you're at Hollywood celebrity level of swag you're not pulling it off.

Lol, I haven't actively played a game in months.

You don't play games... you just like to talk about them on a dedicated message board? I am not sure this guy is the sad one.

That being said, we are all rejects here. That is one of the stipulations for getting your membership card (that is why the membership process can take so long, they are watching you during that time). So don't feel too bad.

Maybe it shows my age (mid 30s) but that's not the stereotypical gamer I think of lol. That just sounds like a hipster. (I'm from Oregon lol)

Those hipsters ruined Oregon. I had to move outta that place especially with the ever increasing cost of living in Portland. Thanks for nothing San Francisco.

On topic. I don't think I've ever met a fedora wearing gamer. I don't associate fedoras with stereotypical gamers though.

Same.

I rock kangols and fedoras (only when I'm wearing a suit, though), so, again, what's wrong with fedoras? Don't make me unshit this katana on you.
Not everyone can pull them off and most of the time the people that wear them look like kind of trashy.

I love this thread. I agree with OP on this. I can't stand the fedoras or incessant talking. It's like, I get it, you like games. Talk about it on gaf, not real life plz

Y'all wondering if the neck beard fedora ponytail trench coat brony tshirt stereotype is real clearly haven't seen any SE/CS classrooms recently

Are there other countries besides America where this stereotype applies though?

Here in South America fedoras are pretty rare, I've only seen a few cool university guys wearing them.

M'lady.

OP, how it is to meet such wonderful creature?

SE? Software Engineering? Because I'm studying Computer Engineering and I haven't seen anyone like this.
