They said that some time ago, but each of their GaaS games underperformed (Multiversus, Suicide Squad, Quidditch Champions). I'm not sure what their recent statements exactly means, but Zaslav did mention Game of Thrones as one of the franchises which will be part of their focus from now on. Beside that he also mentioned Mortal Kombat, Hogwarts Legacy and Batman

Fair enough, hopefully the under performing releases forced them to change their plans.

I always thought that Supernatural would be a cool idea for an action-adventure horror game. You know, driving around in the Impala (maybe not fully open world, but some smaller open locations), solving cases, fighting demons and other supernatural entities. Plus a ton of potential to bring back countless returning / guest characters from the show.
