Name a TV show that would've made a great game.

There's a lot of corny 80's tv series that could work great as a game. Auto man, A-Team The Greatest American Hero or V. Time to show my age, oh yes.
I'll go with V or Automan. The settings and story would fit a game. Auto man is literally an AI character in the real world. Put Rocksteady on it.

Oh, this is an interesting pick because for a minute I had a similar line of thought and I was tempted to mention Manimal... But I'm not sure if more than 20 persons even remember it existed.

Damn, a persistent online game where you can only play in real time and gotta bunk your character when offline....IP fits!

Bonus if they can work amnesia and cougar attacks into the mechanics:p

I'm still shocked we have not seen a really great games based on these 2 legendary IPs..

Trollhunters... and yes, I'm aware of that shitty game that exists, but it could've been so much better.

Also Bright (I know that's a movie, but imo also it would be a way better TV series).

Get Smart - A comedy show about a secret agent. Kind of late for it as it premiered nearly 60 years ago.

P.S. Twin Peaks would have been a good one.

The only thing I've ever wanted since I was like 4 years old are good MOTU, Gi Joe and MASK games. I mean, there are games of all three IP, (yes even MASK) but they all suck, save for one of the NES GI Joe games, if memory serves, or they both might've been good?

What if you could travel to parallel worlds? The same year, the same Earth, only different dimensions. A world where the Russians rule America... or where your dreams of being superstar came true... or where San Francisco was a maximum-security prison. My friends and I found the gateway. Now the problem is... finding a way back home.

I was a huge fan of Sliders back in the 90s. The general concept was that the group had a device that allowed for travel to a parallel world where something went differently in history and the world changed accordingly. The device that allowed for travel had been damaged so they lost their home coordinates and couldn't control their "slide". So when they arrived in a new world they had a random amount of time to survive in the world before they could leave. Hijinks and drama ensued.

I'm not entirely sure what genre would be best. Probably a narrative adventure game like Life is Strange. But if we're shooting for the moon I could also imagine a game that was capable of generating random worlds based on alternate history that you have to navigate. Like a massive rogue-like game where you aren't starting over every time you die but instead have to figure each world out in order to leave.

Dallas. An mmo where you do all that it takes to build youre oil-imperium and battle with or against other players to reach the top. Classis characters as Bobby, J.R, Pamela and the rest will be either with or against you in the battle of the black gold.

All the Gundam Anime are tailor made for a Armored Core type experience as single player, From Software did some in the past but we never had a full adaptation of the Original Gundam or SEED or the others.

Prison Break.

Every day you have a limited amount of time in certain area's (like 15 min in the courtyard or 30 min in the canteen) to prepare for your escape, without the guards spotting you planning this. You have to escape before you get moved to death row.

Now what an original idea for a game you might think, but no. There has been a game like this already:

Was actually being worked on by The Pittbulll Syndicate after Test Drive : Overdrive. But after the Midway buy out it was just lost on the shift over and I was on my way out anyway at the time.

Turned into LA Rush from what I heard as Midway was just demanding we make Need for Speed Underground.

Red Dwarf

Telltales episodic. like the wallace and gromit/batman stuff

Get Grant and Naylor to write them and get the cast to voice it. Robert Llewellyn would be so happy he wouldn't have to wear the costume!

I literally just pulled this idea out of my arse and OH MY GOD I NEED IT TO HAPPEN!

I forgot to mention the 60's Batman series. Perfect setting and theme for a game. Absolutely no subversive writing with joker mass-murdering people as a joke, give it the level of violence the original show had with the pow, ker-slop, whap and biff sound effects on screen when they engage in fisticuffs with the henchmen.

The Mandalorian pre-Grogu.

'Almost Human' from 2013 could be a very cool game if set in Detroit instead of New Pittsburg. You could solve crime as an android with your grumpy human colleague. It could be called Detroit: Almost Human.

The first Buffy game on the OG Xbox immediately comes to mind, it is still the best 3D brawler that I have ever played! Twin Peaks would be a good one even though Alan Wake & Deadly Premonition exist. One that I've always wanted was a Tales from the Crypt game! I think both Eternal Darkness & The Dark Pictures Anthology are probably the closest to it. :pie_thinking:
