Am I the only one upset the ladies of the Rookie 9 never got to have this fight, even if it led to a stalemate?
Is that from an episode? Or is it just so fan animation?
Beautiful chapter, has gotten me pretty emotional. Next week i'm going to be a wreck. That last panel was really quite amazing.
As for people saying that their friendship hasn't been setup, it's always been there. And has always been clear to me. So i'm quite satisfied and happy that Naruto finally got through to Sasuke. Even if it did cost him his arm!

So we finally have the final form of TnJ.
Normal TnJ didn't work, TNJ dimension failed, even forced flashback TnJ couldn't sway The Sauce, in the end Naruto did the unthinkable and made Sasuke TnJ himself into submission, magnificent.

Oh. I must have missed/forgotten about that opening sequence.
And oh my god at those images.
that... doesn't contradict or show evidence against my claim.
The tree climbing activity is basically the only time Naruto and sasuke interact with each other mano e mano that does not involve:
1. The two of them fighting each other
Or
2. One of the two getting his ass saved by the other (Sasuke saving Naruto against Haku, Naruto saving Sasuke against orochimaru in the forest while Sasuke was quivering in his boots. ). Usually also involves bickering between the two.
#1 shows them as rivals. #2 shows them as comrades, friends even. But the only real 1 on 1 moment of friendship is the tree climbing activity. Maybe the bell exercise when sasuke and sakura gave naruto lunch, but that was more of a team-building thing than a sasuke/naruto friendship moment.

That's funny, I wasn't aware Viz was in the scanlation scene, but I guess all the use of "cuz" gave it away.
Considering how I've had nothing invested in this series for the past half-decade, I don't believe the ending will be satisfying by any stretch of the imagination (in my eyes, anyway). I guess it won't be as bad as the Reborn one but I wouldn't be surprised if Kishi didn't elaborate on stuff like who Sakura chooses and Orochimaru's fate (or at least not execute them well).
There's only one chapter left, right?

Don't get me wrong, the aftermath was great. Just it felt like there wasn't enough build up to that last attack. It just came and went so quickly.

Konan would end the Konoha 9 like instantly. She planted 600 hundred fucking BILLION explosive tags just to end Tobi, bitch moved faster than Santa Claus on coke and aspirin. She would have fuck'd up even Kaguya, she was op as shit.
... You do realize that Konan prepared that ridiculous number of Kibaku Fuda well in advance, right?

It's like judging Hebi Sasuke's ability based soley on his usage of the mountain-bustin' Kirin; the speed at which he was able to form the cumulonimbus clouds, and the resulting power of the technique all depended on how he utilized Itachi's Enton.

In order to plant that astonishing number of explosive tags, she should had started the second she learned the Mizukage was in fact Tobi/Madara...and she kept planting those explosive tags for years, without ever being noticed by anyone. That's pretty much the most ninja shit ever done in the Naruto universe imho. Of course even that is not enough to overcome the bullshit that is the Sharingan.
