Howard also has a history of being traded to a team and then walking away in the offseason. People are less likely to trade for him unless they can get some sort of understanding that he isn't going to do another Lakers. We have too many guys at the 4 as is. I don't think Thad moves the needle enough to warrant a trade, unless this is entirely about making the Nets worse. I guess this would also make Sullinger expendable.
