Until the raps can consistently get productivity out of the 4 spot they are going no where in the post season. If they play the bulls, it's over.

"Andy Varejao has reached agreement with the Golden State Warriors, league sources tell The Vertical." -@ShamsCharania

Knowing the Warriors he's probably going to end up being the Finals MVP or something.

knowing the recent track record of cavs players who've been traded away, he's gonna wind up being cleveland's finals MVP

(by which i mean lol bynum, lol wiggins' defense, and lol waiters)

Let's play a game, fellas.

It's July. You're OKC GM Sam Presti. You know for a fact that Durant and Westbrook are leaving. You offer them to Cleveland in a sign and trade for Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. Do the Cavs turn it down?

The way you've laid it out would never happen.

The part of your plan you haven't considered is YNB and KD wanting to go to the same location, and for that location to be Cleveland. The other part is that OKC wouldn't be approaching Cleveland, it would be the other way around, because Cleveland would be the team making the deals with the players and then trying to find a way to make it work. They would need to dump a tremendous amount of salary, and it would be much more than Kyrie and Love, given that YNB and KD's numbers would be far bigger than what Kyrie and Love signed for under lower caps. Cleveland would be calling everybody with cap room, seeing if they'd take Love or Irving for basically nothing, and if they'd take a few more players on top of it. One of those teams might very well be OKC, but it wouldn't necessarily have to be.

Basically, your scenario makes more sense at the trade deadline when OKC still has a deal of control, not in a July free agency period when they really have nothing.

I'm more worried about the cap implications...I think J. Thompson has 9 mil left on his contract for next season.

"Jason Thompson had $2.65m guaranteed for 2016-17. Warriors can stretch $883,333 over the next 3 seasons (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19)." - @BobbyMarks42

It's not a big deal.

Damn, I wonder just how bad his back is.

Yea I'd be surprised if Morey keeps his job next season. What a disaster.

76ers waived Jakarr Sampson to pick up Joel Anthony and now its voided, and Sampson signed with the Nuggets

It kind of stinks, but Jakarr Sampson is literally a shit basketball player, but he did bring a lot of energy and hustle, so it kind of stinks to lose him

I think Morey is fine. Obviously the Dwight/Harden duo didn't work out, but he's kept the team competitive while still remaining flexible in terms of trades and signings, as opposed to completely bottoming out like Philly.

In his defense, my Twitter account randomly likes shit as well. I haven't used it in years but every now and again my friend will show me something stupid my account did.

This year has been a total waste for my Suns. I don't think we've ever had a worse year that I can remember. The whole team is just a disaster. Good thing I have the Knicks and Nets to cheer on.

:(

Theres ping pong balls in play every year for the worst teams in the NBA, how long does that justify

Byron's horrific decisions on a daily basis, that is causing irreparable damage.

There is no reason to think that firing Byron can't wait until the offseason. Makes no difference now anyway, just lets the front office focus every headline on Kobe's retirement tour.

What if the Lakers truly believe he is going to lead them back to a championship? Kobe believes it.

Kobe gone.

Bill simmons talks about Ben Simmons and the draft today. Interesting stuff on how Ben Simmons' crooked ass recruitment to LSU might actually be hurting his stock, and how Ainge trying to get Okafor means he probably thinks this draft sucks. Makes me at least feel a little better about the Lakers pick being top 3 protected.

Cavs are putting on a turnover clinic right now. Virtually every possession. Pass it to Mozgov's feet. Worse, pass it to his hands. Dribble it off a foot. The only thing missing is a Delly lob to no one.

I heard that. What was crooked about it though? I don't know the backstory. I see Simmons' point about how Ben Simmons' teammates hurt him - they do kind of suck. The rest is just one of his silly theories. In 3 months everyone will be talking themselves into this draft like they do every year. Myself included.
