NBA 2k14 Next Gen : OMG Trailer

We can only assume it's close to the same.

No Xbox One footage yet because 2K has some kind of deal with Sony where they preview their games on PlayStation hardware.

Generally the better performing version is showcased, barring marketing deals a la ea and ms or activision/bungie and sony.

Looks amazing! Did anyone else notice though how it looks like every player was stung by a bee in the lips?

Really hope the next gen version has MyPlayer Career and The Association then I'm in day one.

Must be surreal seeing yourself digitized like that. hah.
LOLOLOL Harden is hilarious. His likeness is even better than Lebron's IMO that beard is unreal........

2K have been fantastic ever since the awesome work they did on the Dreamcast. It's a little sad they still haven't had a try at a Football (Soccer) game yet.

With you all the way on that. Been hoping for years they would, perhaps it's a kit/team licensing issue with the monolopy EA has and Konami getting Champions League and the rest scraps from EAs deal

And on their cheeks as well. Friend keeps saying they all look puffy

Visual Concepts needs to make a NFL football game again, for the Next-Gen.

They need to bury the stake in EA Sports once and for all.
Unfortunately it's not really up to them. As long as EA can continually outbid for the monopoly over the license.

No, we need competition. 2k would end up like EA if they had exclusive rights. I wish the NFL never auctioned off their rights to highest bidder...

i wish they simplified shit in these games.

had so much fun back on the dc when you just had a crossover and turbo/cross for spin move, now it's like you have to remember 20 different combos to know how to do the layup or pass you want...its really drug the fun out of the games to me TBH, i honestly wish there was a dummy mode where you had just a few selections for dribble moves but it'd pick an ideal one depending on your situation. i love basketball but i just don't have the care to remember what the combo for like 30 diff shot types, its like a bad fighting game.

i had so much fun with nba jam OFE this gen, more than any 2k game tbqh

Many of us want it to stay complicated and difficult. This is a game you might play every day for 9 months, it's nice to be challenged. They still make NBA Jam, don't they? I don't see why 2k couldn't make a simple version for offline game play though

Right, and that's why he's saying he wishes there was just a mode that was simplified. Have both options for both kinds of players.

As a pretty seasoned sports gamer, I do believe NBA 2K is probably the hardest series to get into right now. The amount of stuff you can do is ridiculous. And the tutorial makes no effort to simplify it down to the essentials.

After playing the Fifa PS4 demo and seeing firsthand hiw similar it is to current gen, this trailer is even more impressive than when I saw it this morning.

Yep. As much crap as I give EA sports games in the past, the trials mode in FIFA actually helped me learn.

I played 2k12 and it just threw me out there and said 'ANALOGS SHOOT YOU FIGURE OUT THE REST'

looks really fucking good... for the most part. some models are amazing and look great, others not so much. pretty hit and miss. but the highs are oh so high

I've showed this trailer to several people at my house today and they too were all blown away. And all of us agree that the song choice just MAKES it. It gets me pumped. I am sick of all the generic hip-hop on basketball game trailers.

I find that the tutorial is more than good enough to get the basics of the game down. They slightly changed the configuration in 2K14 but one pass through the offensive tutorials + an exhibition game and it felt completely natural again.

It's probably one of, if the THE, best sports games trailers ever. If they use it as a TV spot, they'll really get people's attention.

For more "casual" gamers, I think this might be the most impressive looking game on next gen hardware at first glance. Seeing real life people modeled in a videogame makes it more impressive I think.

Yeah, it has that immediate "wow" factor, with the skin shaders, lighting, and cloth physics, and immaculately detailed jerseys.

Sorry if this was asked already but is there a specific reason why the PC version doesn't look like this when it easily can. In fact it probably could have been looking this good for a few years now. Is it just to help drive sales of the new console or some kinda of superior version deal 2K has with Sony or Microsoft.

It's not all that hard if you play alot and practice. That's what shootaround and scrimmage modes are for.

It would drive the min specs too high. Also, their supply of fucks for the PC port is low, and winter is coming.

I've probably watched this trailer 20 times tonight. I can't believe how great this looks. It's a huge jump from current gen. It's amazing, I'm speechless.

Jagsrock, love the gifs!
