So I heard the Cavs players were all boozing it up during there stay in the city, and so much in-fighting back at the hotel....Kyrie and LeBron really don't get along after the game...
I'm not surprised. Makes sense that Varejo talked about how the Warriors like each other when he got there.

These 'I miss the Heat' memes are good for a laugh, but people dont actually believe them, right? Have we forgotten 2014 Heat v Spurs? LeBron on the heat would still be getting blown out by this Warriors team.

Who knows? But I do know one thing: Bosh and Wade were nowhere near as hopeless on defense as Kyrie and Love...and also I would have trusted Riley to re-tool much moreso than GM LeBron and the Cavs front office.

Bosh put up a donut in a game 7 and Wade was chronically injured as Lebrons teammate.

I'm not saying it would be this ugly, but this is just a great Warriors team that is going to win multiple titles no matter who they are facing.

I'm saying who knows if the Heat + LeBron would be the same team now as they were in. 2014, when they were an old, tired team in their 4th straight Finals.

Maybe, but I would take the current Heat roster over the current Cavs roster if Bron wasn't playing on either team.

Kyrie is something special, but he's wasted in this shitty Cavs organization.

I'm starting to think Kyrie is just as overrated as Love.

But Bosh, Wade and Haslem are still there doe.

Would they be if LeBron had stayed? Would the role players be different? Who knows, I mean nobody is beating the Warriors team anyway, but all I'm saying is I would trust Riley to construct a roster of LeBron and Rich Paul.

I'm starting to think Kyrie is just as overrated as Love.

Kyrie is Jamal Crawford 2.0, he's just so young that people give him a pass. In 2-3 seasons when he's still basically the same player he was as a rookie people will realize how overrated he is:

Who cares if the players were out drinking honestly.

I hate this kind of stuff in sports, the game isn't even until tomorrow.

Bosh and Wade (along with Lebron) played the best defense in the league for the first 3 years the Heat were together. The Heat's offense was garbage that first year but they figured it out in the 2nd year and perfected it in the 3rd.

Really I thought Bosh was more valuable to that team than Wade. Wade was clutch but he and Lebron kind of did the same shit and it took them time to figure out how to get the two to play together well.

I think people are panicking about Cleve too much. The Warriors won 73 games this year. It shouldn't be surprising if they punk any team when they are playing well. Give them one more year together (though I would try and trade Love, but only if you get something useful in return not just because). A lot can change in one year. The Warriors will not be this good next year. Year to year shit can change fast in the NBA.

More than matchups what Cleveland needs is the ability to lock in like a champion. They have never shown that. You have to learn that and lets see what they pick up over the summer. If they don't get it after this embarrassment they will never get it.

People are panicking too much, I agree. That said, Dan Gilbert is gonna push the button, you just know this, so maybe people are just reacting to what they know will probably happen.

I thought this about the Spurs like several times. After Memphis rd1 ousting, after 2012 Thunder loss. You have to trust the FO and coaching.

So who was it that was up late drinking?

Nevermind, caught it. lol, couldn't believe it would be the Cavs after that spanking.

Not sure if this Zach Lowe article has been posted, but gives some insight on Klay Thompson:
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...son-more-losing-people-underestimating-skills

Everybody knows Curry's story at this point, but this and the other SI article on Dray earlier helps flesh out the rest of the team some more.

It's easy to think Klay is a bit aloof and cavalier about the game...

...but sounds like he plays with a bit of a chip on his shoulder, too. His performance in Game 6 against OKC definitely puts him in badass territory.

Man, fuck the "Durant to the Warriors" talk. Great, let's make the league more topheavy so that none of the series that matter are competitive and the playoffs are a dull cakewalk for everyone but GS fans and their accompanying bandwagon.

I'm starting to think Kyrie is just as overrated as Love.

I'm starting to think being at least decent on defense is kind of important to being a star in the NBA.

Klay just needed some time to rest his back after he carried the rest of the team on it against OKC.

Kevin Love not practicing.

Interesting...

Link?

Not practicing likely means he isn't symptom-free. How long does NBA concussion protocol require him to have no symptoms before he can play? Still 30+ hours till game time, but they're going to be cutting it close.

The game was at 8 though. I dunno, I generally just assume these dudes are adults who know how to handle themselves.

this was when they were in san francisco ...my dude works for the same hotel the Cavs team were staying at when they were playing game 1 & 2 ....

I'd think anyone would have a chip on their shoulder for Jimmer being drafted ahead of you.

Thompson holds a semi-tongue-in-cheek grudge against the Kings for daring to draft another shooter, Jimmer Fredette, over him. "I considered myself the best shooter in that draft, so when someone took another shooter over me, it was a slap in the face," Thompson told ESPN.com after Game 1 of the Finals.

Surprised no one pointed this out from the SI article on Draymond quoted in this thread.

He chills out by watching basketball—specifically women’s basketball. “In the NBA there’s always a guy who is only around because he can jump,” Green says. “He doesn’t have a clue about the fundamentals. I learn more from the WNBA. They know how to dribble, how to pivot, how to use the shot fake.”

Dude is a true student of the game.

My aunt is a huge WNBA fan. I think that's the only sport she likes.

Some people do dig it.

WNBA is a smart game because it's more about team work rather than pure skill. Not saying they don't have skill but most players can't quite dunk same way as NBA so rely more on smarts.

I'm honestly going to say it helps. Cavs have been struggling on both sides of the ball, but I feel things have been worse for them on defense, and that's where Love is terrible.

If it means they give more minutes to Frye though it's a moot point. Cavs have nobody good to replace him with who can play both sides of the ball. The big lineup hasn't worked against Golden St since game 4 of last years Finals.

Kyrie looked not just hung over during the game, but drunk. Him bobbling and losing out of bounds a simple pass from Lebron during the big Warriors run in the third was probably the low point of the whole game.

As much as people talk about the lineups, I think the biggest difference is that the Warriors come to play for 48 minutes.

When their shots are not falling they still defend and play as hard as fuck. The Cavs don't come close to that intensity. Honestly other than Lebron who else has shown that they can reach that championship level? I always thought JR could possibly get there and/or stab someone on the court in the right situation. Who else is mentally tough on that team? They are all good at shooting threes against scrubs when they are up by 10, but no one else has really show any heart.

Hopefully they show up tomorrow night. Sick of watching garbage basketball...

The cavs just don't match up well with the Warriors in my opinion. Draymond makes it a nightmare for them and their bench is #1 in the NBA. Their entire bench can make the playoffs in the East if they were their own team.

I say Warriors in 5

I hope they get waxed again. The sooner these Finals are over the better, so that we can move on to more important things like the Lakers giving Harrison Barnes $100 million.
