I hope they get waxed again. The sooner these Finals are over the better, so that we can move on to more important things like the Lakers giving Harrison Barnes $100 million.

Yup, I'm getting close to over it. Cleveland ain't even pushing the Warriors enough to get good games from their best players. Klay and Steph don't even need to play well - or much at all - for GS to win. If the Cavs don't show up to play yet again tomorrow night, let's hope Friday night makes it a fucking wrap.

Not sure if this Zach Lowe article has been posted, but gives some insight on Klay Thompson:

Everybody knows Curry's story at this point, but this and the other SI article on Dray earlier helps flesh out the rest of the team some more.

It's easy to think Klay is a bit aloof and cavalier about the game...

...but sounds like he plays with a bit of a chip on his shoulder, too. His performance in Game 6 against OKC definitely puts him in badass territory.
Thompson holds a semi-tongue-in-cheek grudge against the Kings for daring to draft another shooter, Jimmer Fredette, over him. "I considered myself the best shooter in that draft, so when someone took another shooter over me, it was a slap in the face," Thompson told ESPN.com after Game 1 of the Finals.

He delights in reminding teammates and coaches behind closed doors that two Cavaliers, Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson, went ahead of him in the same draft; he quips that the Cavs took "the wrong Thompson," team officials say. "He definitely remembers Kyrie went before him," assistant GM Kirk Lacob told ESPN.com. "I can say that for sure."

When the league revealed the All-NBA teams last month, with Damian Lillard making the second team ahead of Thompson, he steamed, team officials said. He stormed around the locker room, asking if voters had watched him defend Lillard in the second round. They politely reminded Thompson that voters submit ballots before the playoffs.

Kinda fitting that he scored 37 points in a quarter against the Kings then.

Is Kevin Love the scapegoat for Lebron?

Not sure what you would mean by this. Don't think LeBron is really dodging much blame, especially with the LeGM criticisms. Truth is that the whole team is getting worked.

I just want at least one of these games to be close or exciting. Not that I don't derive pleasure from seeing Cleveland get bodied.

Yeah Klay is quickly moving up to second place on my favorite nba players of this generation.

Thompson's primary assignments on defense so far in the playoffs have been, in order: James Harden, Lillard, Russell Westbrook and the Irving/James combination. We often hear how guys like Harden and James carry such heavy burdens on offense that they need to rest on the other end. Thompson has chased those studs while logging 35 minutes per game, leading the Warriors in scoring, and canning a ridiculous 44 percent from deep on nearly 10 attempts each night.

He's got scapegoats everywhere. From Love, to Kyrie, JR Smith, all the way down to Channing Frye. And let's not forget the coach.

But i've noticed people have a hard time pinning the blame on others to excuse LeBron this time. Not only has that well run dry after facing so many L's, but he's the GM, the team is healthy, and everyone was just high on them when they were destroying the East. Plus LeBron himself hasn't played up to par in this series either.

HB is a role player with a 3. He's invisible and has less likes than I do for an IG post if we're talking today. Seriously, I don't even post much.

But for real, HB doesn't do much in the games and he'll be a case study if he commands somewhere near max. He's so obviously uplifted by his peers/colleagues.
Not even near max. Think Harry will get the max.

Coach Nick compares Thunder with Cavs defense vs common Warrior offensive sets.

Yeah, it's not really the Cavs' players' fault that they aren't as long or quick or able to make defensive changes of direction as quickly as OKC's players. But it is their fault that they're not communicating about screens and cuts and that they get lost ball-watching.

LeBron is trying his best to cover but it's hard to tell if the defences are fatally compromised before or after he leaves his man to help somewhere else. It looks like some of his help defense is ineffective to the point of being a mistake and he should just stay home on his own assignment.

Yeah I think Charlotte would be a good fit down the line but this is the last potentially big contract he could sign. If he still has aspirations to be a starting PG somewhere, this is probably the last opportunity for him.

He should see if Brooklyn will max him out.

Given the large Asian contingency in Brooklyn (let alone the rest of NYC), it'd be a pretty smart business move for both sides. Nets could use the boost in ticket sales during this period of futility, and Lin probably has a good shot to compete with Jack and Larkin for the starter role.

yeah it's jlin though, he understands the value of being in a good situation vs. getting paid. if we can give him a respectable number hopefully he'll stay. he's a great bench player who has the ability to close out games. I think a starting pg role for him is too much.

I really dont know what to say I thought the Cavs had a better chance this year since they were fully healthy and Lebron waa on a mission but this team is jist showing no heart.
GG GSW great season and congrats on the repeat.

Parker was actually the one making some plays for SA in big moments (and missed some). They need another point to split minutes, and a SG. Danny Green should come off the bench

explains why klay is a great fit with steph. got paid, just keeps his head down and grinds. doesn't need to be in the spotlight.

Man both the Rockets and Los Angeles fucked his whole shit up. I can't believe how the Rockets used his ass as a scapegoat in the playoffs. He was unbelievable in some of those games against the Heat. Even if he stays with Charlotte, it's really his duty to decline. He's worth a lot more than $2 million.

underrated defender as well. bad defense was always a big talking point with him and he comes to charlotte and plays for a good defensive-minded coach and whatdoyouknow? the guy can defend.
