I think someone tweeted out a stat saying that Kyrie and Love gave up the most PPP in PnR defense in the entire league, which is troublesome.

Yup, and that's not just playoff teams. Those two have the worst PnR defense of any two players in the league. Which means, when the two are on the floor together, the Warriors are going to run PnR with whoever they're guarding. Over and over again. Good times.

Warriors will probably be, to me, the greatest single-season team of all-time in US pro sports history if they can win the title. Really a transcendent run they're on.

Also I discovered today that Ezeli watches One Piece, so how can I root against a guy like that?

But I think the Cavs will win it. The whole revenge factor thing after last year. They're hungry. Plus Curry isn't quite right and the Warriors have looked at least somewhat vulnerable. I think Cleveland gets it done.

They looked a bit vulnerable, but I think that was more OKC turning a corner into a crazy good team for a little bit there rather than GSW necessarily going down in the dumps. Curry seems mostly back, and I just can't see Cleveland playing up to the abilities OKC was at that point after having roasted the Spurs, too.

I think Cleveland will get in some good punches, though. I'd say GSW in 6.

GSW in 6, Will enjoy seeing this and hopefully an announcement of moving back to south beach.

Cleveland in 6. I can't see James and a full and well-rested supporting cast being stopped. Thunder struck the glancing blow, now it's time for the Land of Cleve to ascend to the champion's throne.

Kind of weird hearing people say that Golden State looked vulnerable by losing three games to OKC while ignoring that Cleveland lost two games to Toronto.

The most interesting part of this series is seeing if CLE can come close to the switching defense that OKC played last series. IIRC Kevin Love got roasted every time in PNR D. I think someone tweeted out a stat saying that Kyrie and Love gave up the most PPP in PnR defense in the entire league, which is troublesome. Cleveland doesn't have the go-go gadget long armed perimeter defenders that OKC has, and definitely don't have the interior defense.
Conversely, GSW is usually considerbly smaller than the Raps, Hawks and Detroit and Lebron has been feasting in the paint. Not only that but whoever guards Lebron has to worry about foul trouble also.

Do people saying Warriors in 5 realize it took 6 games last year for them to beat LeBron and a bunch of guys from the local YMCA?

I think GS is happy to let LeBron try and singlehandedly beat them.

Both teams are significantly better than they were last year (due to maturation and health, respectively) so this should be a fun series.

I see the Warriors taking it in 6.

It took the Warriors six games to beat the best defensive team in the playoffs who dominated them on the boards and slowed the pace down to a crawl.

That's not this year's Cavs.

All these 3s that's going to be raining down this series.

It took virtually this same Warriors team 6 games to beat Lebron and his bench. I think this one is going 7. It'll be interesting to see which version of Love shows up.

Mostly because all of the other wins were blowouts, record breaking even. It was a good series but GSW just squeaked by OKC.

Warriors won three straight against a great team with two of the five best players who had just trounced the 67-win Spurs. Somehow, I don't think the Warriors would have struggled as much as Cleveland did to put away a mediocre Toronto team.

Don't forget, Kyrie is a bad boy ready to take it the hole. He and Lebron are going to attack them like they ain't been attacked before

Really, OKC should have beaten GS in 6 games but they blew it. Toronto was nowhere close to getting to that point with Cleveland. They were absolutely trounced those last few games.

OKC is definitely a better team than Toronto but still.

This years Cavs broke the warriors record for threes in a game and almost did it again the next game. Lets not forget that the Cavs swept OKC in the season series as well.

Lebron owns KD.

I'm kinda rooting for the Cleve since I don't really want to see Bron lose 3 finals in a row.

On the other hand GS just pulled off the near impossible by coming back from 1-3 and taking out the Thunder for me, can't root against them.

I just hope this is fun, hopefully going to game 7.

This is the darkest timeline for me.

Golden State escaped Oklahoma by launching ridiculous 3's that had no business going in for the most part. That is their game though, but I can't see them having a run of games like that (+84 from 3 in games 6 and 7) against Cleveland... The Cavs have actually been better from 3 these playoffs, and OKC were middle of the pack.

Will be interesting to see how Lebron does without having to carry the full load every game. I can't imagine that Draymond doesn't pick up 2 games worth of suspensions either (one for the flagrants, and one for the techs)

Dubs can retake that record against the Cavs ...while winning the title again in 6 and Lebron dipping Cleveland and Ohio again for Miami ...

Russ is exactly that and is better than Kyrie (as an attacker at least), and they found a way to handle that for the last three games.

The record the Warriors got with Curry only making one 3 and missing the second half :lol

Also, GS swept OKC in the season as well (though people always yell at me when I bring up stuff from the regular season).

Because OKC couldn't hit the broadside of a barn past 15 feet. Same as last year when Lebron was forced to drive constantly on them with no outside help.

It's funny how it works that way. Don't dare mention how a healthy cavs team got wrecked by 32 in their own building.
