They do need it though. That roster is not as strong without Iggy. With Iggy gone that roster is just Zaza, Javale, and a bunch of bums. I guess that Durant fella is alright but that Curry guy... I swear I've never seem him make a 3.Like they need it.....
Furkan Korkmaz is going to join the Sixers this year

Warriors will be fine with or without Iggy lol.
It hurts their depth.
https://twitter.com/shamscharania/status/880889629402124289Minnesota and Utah are in active discussions on a deal to send guard Ricky Rubio to the Jazz, league sources tell The Vertical.
Hill is a better scorer. Rubio is better at everything else.

That's a fucking steal
Also Rondo got waived
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
EVERYTHING
FUCK KYLE LOWRY WHY NOT JUST A FUCKING SIGN AND TRADE FOR HILL GODDAMNIT
He's also 31 years old, probably going to get paid close to $25+ million a year, and the team is going to be cap strapped so they'll have like zero bench. God I fucking hate this. Ricky toiled here for years, and will get traded right as they're on the cusp of being decent. And it might be to replace him with JEFF FUCKING TEAGUE instead of Lowry.Kyle Lowry is really good. Like... really good.
Still I can't believe they're doing this deal unless they have something in place. Because they're going to look dumb as hell if they're dumping Rubio without an actual replacement lined up
HE'S 31!!!Kyle Lowry is really good. Like... really good.

HE'S 31!!!
I DON'T WANT HIS EXPENSIVE OLDER ASS ON THIS TEAM
HILL IS SLIGHTLY LESS PRODUCTION FOR SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER ANDD THE SAME AGE IF YOU WANT TO DO THAT SURE BUT CHEAPER!!!
They might go for Holiday, or Lowry, or Hill, or even Teague. Hell, even Patty Mills, which probably gives you room for a good power forward too
This is a bad move.Minnesota really having an incredible off-season.
They dumped Rubio to replace him with a guy significantly worse than Rubio? That would be beyond awful.
I really can't fathom them moving on unless its for an actual upgrade so either Lowry or Hill.

Kill me.Rondo will lead the wolves to sucess, I can see it

Ricky isn't a good pull up shooter, but he's much better at catch & shoot. Both Butler & Towns can pass it a bit. Also he's a rugged defender.George Hill would be a much better fit with that group because of his 3 point shooting. Lowry too, but the last few years of his deal would be bad.
Rubio is a good PG but he doesn't really fit with that core.
Sam Amick said:Updated intel on Minnesota front: expectation from folks who would know is that Jeff Teague is heavy, heavy favorite with T-Wolves.
Jody Genessy said:Although Hayward prefers Hill staying, it's my understanding that Ricky Rubio would be an acceptable Plan B for him. Not sure it's enough.

I mean, I'm sure he's better at catch & shoot but I'd be very surprised if he was anywhere close to league average. Having a guy like Lowry or Hill would do wonders for the spacing of that offense. Teague would be a disaster though.Ricky isn't a good pull up shooter, but he's much better at catch & shoot. Both Butler & Towns can pass it a bit. Also he's a rugged defender.
They're saying Jeff Teague is the favorite to get signed now. I despise him. He's significantly worse than Rubio. Fuck this is awful.
Can you imagine going from working for Gilbert to working with Dolan? The guy must hate his life.
.From his Lowe post with Ramona Shelburne yesterday (6/29).
People often ask me like why would someone leave Valhalla like the Spurs or wherever, whoever, someone leaves wherever to go work for this disaster show in New York, it has the same appeal I think, forget he money, well don't forget the money, the money's important but it has the appeal of like going to coach the Kings right now: if you succeed you're a miracle worker and if you fail it's everyone else's fault because of course you failed, it's the Kings. They fail, they lose. That's what you do. It's just a complete win-win, and you get paid an enormous amount of money.
Yes, James Dolan seems like an unpleasant fellow to deal with on a day to day basis, whether you're a fan or Charles Oakley or someone who works for the team or someone who plays for the team or a someone who is an executive on the team. But if you succeed you are a God here, forever. Because of all the other stuff that came before.
Shelburne:
And not to undue your metaphor with coaching the Kings, but like if you succeed in New York? I mean, you're the King of New York! That's the draw and it takes a special personality to handle that.
