NBA Offseason 2017 |OT| Only Big Ballers™ Allowed *please pay $495 to be a Big Baller

FUCK three teams are gonna actively try and suck and still make the playoffs

On a team with Isaiah Thomas, I value someone who can guard a player 1-3 very very well. Something Smart can do better than Oladipo.

I think you need to do a little research into Oladipo's defense. He's very good. Whatever difference there might be between he and Smart in that department is negligible and certainly doesn't make up for the fact that Smart is a total ZERO on offense.

I don't believe that. You may be right though. Smart is abysmal on offense.

Give your predictions for a random all star next season

I say...Victor Oladipo funny enough

Or Ben Simmons/Embiid/Fultz/Saric

Alrighty then.

LeBron, Kyrie, Love, DeRozan, Wall, Kemba, Isaiah, Giannis seem like locks.

That fills up the every guard spot, and leaves us one wildcard. It also gives us a total of 3 front-court positions.

Lowry or Beal or Schroder probably fills it out to a total of 6 guards from the East.

For the front-court, Millsap is a lock if he stays, but let's say he doesn't. Horford seems incredibly likely barring outstanding runs by three of the following players: Embiid, Simmons, Whiteside, Porzingis, Turner, Gordon(?), or Drummond. Hell, maybe even Dwight XD

My guess is Whiteside and one of Embiid or Porzingis.

Oladipo’s defensive impact on the Thunder is massive. The Thunder are ninth overall in Defensive Rating at 104.3, per NBA.com. Oladipo currently sports a Defensive Rating of 101.0. Only Steven Adams (at 100.5) has a better mark among Thunder players with more than 100 minutes this season. Oladipo’s mark is even with that of the league-leading Warriors. His Defensive Real Plus-Minus of 0.36 is lower than his 0.79 mark from last season. However, only two shooting guards are averaging more than 30 minutes per game and posting a better mark than Oladipo — Miami’s Tyler Johnson and Charlotte’s Nicolas Batum.

With Oladipo off the floor, OKC’s Defensive Rating craters to 108.6. Only Adams and defensive specialist Andre Roberson have a bigger gap in their on and off-court Defensive Ratings. Those numbers are certainly aided by the shortcomings of the Thunder bench. Even with that in mind, however, it is easy to see how much of a difference Oladipo makes on defense.

I think you have a complete misconception on who Oladipo is. Dude was low key a workhorse for OKC last year. Like I said, he's not a great player, never gonna be, and he's mad overpaid, but he's good. A relatively young guard who can defend and shoot at a decent clip has value around this league. The idea that Smart is better seems crazy. He's basically a "Rich Man's Marcus Smart" for crying out loud.

You think teams are going to be happy to give up anything for a half year rental? Not likely.

Imagine you are an eastern conference playoff team trying to beat the warriors. Someone is going to risk minor assets for a shot at a championship.

So you disrupt your team by trading away pieces to fit in a major player like George and you expect to gel enough to beat the Warriors? Nah...even the Warriors needed a little adjustment time getting Durant in there and they all share the ball.

Basketball isn't that complicated. Plus there is still almost half a season between the deadline and the playoffs and 3 rounds before any potential series with a western conference team. Plenty of time to work out any minor details.

Chemistry is kind of a big deal.

The more I think about, Danny probably only has one more option if they strike out on Hayward: buying low on LMAo.

Nah, he's still gotta move IT for a 1st rd pick before his big payday.

LMA would be happy in ORL, just him and you're not getting any help from your front office. Vucevic to SA! (more more Vucevic's sake than SAS)
