Whelp, KO got that money. Nice white front court pairing if he can get some consistency...
Woj said:As @ZachLowe_NBA reports, it's a 15 percent trade kicker. Washington has vowed to match the sheet. Deadline is midnight on July 8.

Woj said:Free agent forward Rudy Gay has agreed to a two year deal with the Spurs, league sourcs tell ESPN.
Woj said:Sources: Rudy Gay's deal with the Spurs: two-years, $17M-plus with a player option.
Rudy Gay ruins chemistry the dude makes teams worse. I don't care even if it is the Spurs and Pop. I don't get this at all.
It is good they still have LMA
So we kept last years 30-11 team, gained Olynyk, will have Winslow back healthy for the beginning of the season and got Bam on the draft?
Gay and LMA are such weird fits on a Popovich team
Woj said:In the end, Gay left Sacramento for San Antonio for a chance to be part of a contender. Spurs worked hard to close this over 72 hours.
David Aldridge said:Spurs used mid-level exception on two-year deal for Rudy Gay (player option second year). @wojespn first with agreement.

But it doesn't always work, like with RJ and LMA.One of the best things about Pop is that he alters his system effectively depending on the personnel he's given. The Spurs of last year were not and were not meant to be the Spurs of 2014..

David Aldridge said:Kings want 2 take the route the late Flip Saunders did w/his young team in Minny 2 yrs ago: mentors for their kids. Vince Carter the latest.
Jason Jones said:Joerger said he wanted vets who could play. Doesn't believe vets who can't play are as helpful. Easier to tune those guys out.

Why is Dirk taking paycuts? Cuban making a move?
They're both inefficient volume scorers that don't really have a place in today's game. Not really, Leonard, Mills, Parker, Manu and possibly Murray are all good or potentially good Iso scorers. This allows them to get into their offense by isolating against their opponants weakest defender and then finding good shots either against that defender or against the double team it creates.
Gay is going to be a really good fit if his recovery goes to plan.

What the fuck, Vince...
Trust me, you will never have better odds than now. By this weekend, I think most will think Pels are a playoff team

This post is the very definition of envy.
What about Simmons? He did great last year when Leonard went down. Is he going to go back to the spurs?
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeit Rudy Gay bout to finally reach his ceiling.

Depends, I think Pop's magic only works if the players start as rookies for him. Just look at LMAo and Pau
