Clippers GM needs to get nuked from orbit.

Says at least one source close to talks on expected 3/60M deal for Brook Lopez and 4/50M deal for Thad Young: "Consider them done deals" - Marc Stein

As far as Nets contracts go those don't seem like the worst.

Who was giving Lopez 20 million a year other than the Nets?

Nets have no cap space anyway and no draft picks so there's really no reason to not just spend the Russian's money willy nilly and resign these guys.

Another interesting detail from the Leonard report by WoJ:

Leonard will join teammates Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, and president/coach Gregg Popovich and general manager R.C. Buford at a presentation to the Blazers All-Star forward, sources said.

That's pretty much everyone short of Manu. They're really going all in.

If LMA goes to the Spurs just give them the trophy. Please LaMarcus go to Dallas or Houston heck even LA.

Clippers meeting with Wesley Johnson. Wesley Johnson going to get a selfie banner in Staples rafters blocking Laker legends lol

A player was focused in a meeting. Stop the presses everyone!

Seriously, this Laker thirst by ESPN is just ridiculous. And no one else is reporting that BUT ESPN at the moment.

Looks like Wade is gonna get the max contract he wanted from looking at these fucked deals

We're gonna give it to him aren't we? :(
Naw, he ain't getting maxed out. He's going to at least get stupid paid for next season though.

Let him test the market for 33 year old injury prone SGs whose mid and long range game is limited. Let's see who gives him more than $15 a year.

If he's bitter that bron bron cost him millions of dollars then maybe he should ask his buddy to buy him dinner.

LA lifestyle is the only reason LMA would consider the Lakers. From a basketball standpoint the Spurs have by far the best situation imaginable. LMA fits the Spurs' motion offense like a glove.

FFS LaMarcus come to SA and compete for titles every year for the rest of your career. Just do it already!

Hoping LaMarcus chooses the Spurs so that Lakers 2016 pick looks so much sweeter. It would be the cherry on top if they also miss out on Jordan and end up with the bloated corpse of David West.

...definitely not bitter over that Russell pick.

Everyone saying the Spurs are going to be toast once Duncan retires can just read this:

Amin Elhassan
@AminESPN

Steph Curry style RT @JonesOnTheNBA: Spurs locking in Leonard at 2015 cap numbers is going to set them up to build post Duncan.

LMA can contend both in the near term and the foreseeable future. Lakers are selling you a brand and MAYBE sort-of potential if the stars align.

Still hoping to see Chris Broussard, live, pretend to get a text on his phone and confirm again where a player is going while it's already been made official on another website.

Holy shit, that's amazing.

Having LMA and Leonard locked up before the cap jumps up is going to be great for SA.

Edit:

"ESPN sources say Goran Dragic has a five-year, $90 million deal from the Miami Heat" - Marc Stein

Comes with a player option after the 4th year.

Goran Dragic has reached agreement on a five-year, $90 million deal with the Miami Heat, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

$90 million is below the expected $100 million. Riley gets them discounted AGAIN!

But really, i imagine living in Miami and FL not having state taxes certainly helps at the negotiating table. I'm glad to see him stay, we still haven't seen him play in what the ideal starting lineup would be so it's nice to know that'll we'll see that next season.

Magic offering Millsap 4/80. Guess they really dont want to keep Tobias :(

Oh well. Cool with Millsap. Can't see the Hawks not keeping him though

Hm, not sure the Hawks want Millsap at the max though. Kinda hard to see them being able to give Millsap the max, Carroll $10-12m per, and keeping some of their role players.

Chances are we're gonna get rid of mcbob. Hopefully we dont because I want to see him play a good amount of games to see how he jells with the team.

Well, we're definitely moving Chalmers and Birdman, those guys need to go to get Wade his big check next season. Deng opting in suck because he wasn't going to get $10 mil in the open market and he seems smart enough to have figured that out on his own.

I don't see us getting rid of McBob right away. If that's the plan, then the move would be better saved for around the trading deadline after he's had a solid season coming off of an injury. Get his value up and then start seeing what you can get in return.

Another veteran several front offices say is gathering a strong market for his bench value: Gary Neal.

If we lose Beli (which we probably will) then I want him back with the Spurs. Him and Green lighting up the Heat during their first Finals matchup still lingers with me.

Free agent guard Monta Ellis is gathering traction in talks with the Indiana Pacers, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Larry Bird has been determined to secure Monta Ellis, and Pacers pushing hard to close a deal with him, league sources tell Yahoo.

Free-agent guard Monta Ellis is engaged in serious talks on a possible three-year, $32 million-plus deal with the Indiana Pacers, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Ellis has a scheduled trip into Indianapolis on Wednesday to meet with the Pacers' front-office and coaching staffs, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Indiana president Larry Bird and coach Frank Vogel want to play smaller and faster next season, and luring Ellis is an important part of the Pacers' plan. Ellis, 29, has played the past two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, averaging 18.9 points and 4.1 assists last season.

$10.5m per ain't bad for Monta with the rising cap

The $18M per year PG Gorin Dragic has agreed to w/ the #MiamiHeat is more than Dwayne Wade ever received from them ($17.8M)

lulz

Wade is getting maxed this year and then a 3-year deal next year and that's it. He ain't going nowhere.

Yeah, Wade just wants to get stupid paid at least one time in his career. And i don't blame him, he's never been the highest paid player ever on his own team. they owe him that much.
