How tall is Williams?

I bet he gets a job considering how hard it is to find quality bigs these days.
Well he's like 6'9"...but he was a passion driven player like Rodamn Jerome Willaims...i doubt he'll be that kind of player...

Those are the only 3 times Tmac has EVER played defense. To be fair though, Kobe put forth a very Tmacesque effort on defense last season as well. Gundy won't stand for Tmac's Sam Perkins like effort on the defensive end.

You might even say he could make a killing on a team that needs a big man.

A private-school teacher and part-time model is suing Raptors forward Morris Peterson for $1.5 million for allegedly infecting her with genital herpes.

Daphne Charlemagne, 26, is seeking $1 million in general damages and $500,000 in special damages.

Her case was originally filed in June 2002 — a year and a half after she says she met Peterson and began having an "intimate relationship" with him — but hasn't advanced to a trial because Peterson has not filed a statement of defence, said Joseph Lo Greco, Charlemagne's lawyer.

:lol Mo Pete's really popular with the girls in this town...wonder if that'll change now. :lol Talk about a messy and embarassing situation though.

Completely untrue...T-Mac was a great defender when he was a Raptor, since he wasn't the focal point of the offense. Since he had to carry the offensive load pretty much by himself in Orlando, it stands to reason that his defensive game slipped.

• When he was questioned by two police officers in the parking lot of the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera in the early morning of July 2, 2003, Bryant, after first denying an encounter took place, admitted to "holding her around her neck from behind" and graphically described a series of sex acts he engaged in with his accuser.

• As the officers and Bryant made small talk while walking to his room, Bryant told them he would pay his accuser to make the charges go away because "I'm in the worst f------ situation."

• During the interview Bryant told police about "a girl in Virginia named 'Michelle'" with whom he said he had had a consensual sexual relationship.

• In their summary of the conversation, police said Bryant told them that he should have paid the woman to keep quiet -- and mentioned another NBA player who he said had done that. Bryant said the player would pay women "not to say anything," and that he had spent up to a million dollars to get out of situations like Bryant's. Bryant told the police that he had never had to resort to paying hush money, stating that he "treats a woman with respect, therefore, they shouldn't say anything."
Hey, don't we all like that position: Grabbing her hair/neck from behind, doggystyle? Some chicks dig it and it's a compromising situation if you are a superstar. Well, Wendy Williams said 50 Cent has the solution: Cameras in the slayer room.

I wonder who Kobe gave up the goods on in that room? It doesn't seem that incriminating, but I think we all want to hear who Kobe ratted out for cheating on their wife while he was crying like a bitch. Just imagine if he said something about Shaq cheating on that tape........

Edit: Oops, I just noticed it was SI and who wrote the article. That makes the likelihood of it being true a lot less. Now Kobe will have something else he can follow Jordan in, boycotting SI.

VINCE IS CRYING. WAHHHH

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1882780

TORONTO -- All-Star guard Vince Carter wants out of Toronto, but the Raptors' new general manager says he isn't going anywhere.

"It doesn't change anything with us," Rob Babcock told The Associated Press on Thursday. "He's under contract with our team. We expect him to fulfill all obligations of the contract."

In his strongest remarks yet, Carter told the Toronto Star in Thursday's editions that "It's time for the truth: I want to be traded." Carter also said in a letter to fans posted on his Web site that he's not eager to wait while the team rebuilds.

"My frustration comes from the fact that we have not been able to create an equation to win ballgames," Carter wrote. "I am at the point in my career where I do not have time to wait two to four years for a team to mature."

Carter remains one of the NBA's most popular players because of his highlight-reel dunks, but he has lost some of his explosiveness over the last four years because of knee injuries.

Will Vince Carter finish this season in Toronto?
Yes
No
Carter, who has four years remaining on his contract, ducked questions about his future with the team when he was in Toronto for his annual charity all-star game in July. But Carter's agent, Mark Steinberg, said a week later his client asked the Raptors to explore trade possibilities.

Babcock, hired in June, acknowledged the trade demand is an "issue" for the franchise, but he said "it's not really an issue" because he's under contract.

"Is it the ideal way going to camp? No," Babcock said. "But it's really not the nightmare that other people think it is. Would I'd rather he was here without making any public statements and that he was 100 percent behind everything here, yeah absolutely, but he's under contract and I think Vince is a good person, and I think he'll be professional and do what he's supposed to do and fulfill his job."

Babcock hopes the five-time All-Star will give his new regime a chance. The Raptors haven't made the playoffs the past two seasons and Sam Mitchell will be Carter's third coach in three years.

"If he comes in with an open mind that's all we want," Babcock said. "He hasn't had an opportunity to play under this system and see what it's like to be a part of this basketball team. This is a whole new era."

Detective Winters: ... okay, hear me out, okay. Bryant: We stopped cold. (Inaudible).
