Yeah it might be pretty insane if NBA GM's go Carolina-happy in the draft.
Illinois is actually not looking too bad next year. Our seniors leaving will hurt, and Williams is definitely gone.
But a variety of sources are now saying Dee Brown is staying his senior year. Augustine is coming back. Marcus Arnold (monster 6'8" 250 lbs transfer from Ill State) will replace and possibly surpass the play that Powell provided us. Not to mention Calvin Brock coming off a redshirt. And we're still in the running for Brandon Rush (#4 senior in the nation). McBride, Pruitt, Carter, and Randle we are high-quality recruits that'll get a ton more time next year, here's hoping they pan out.
So yeah, we're looking at a decent team again. It'll be about as nice as a rebuilding year can be for a non-elite. It's funny how over the next few years we're going to go from having no size, to having too much size.

If we can get Felton back I think we can contend for another title next year. Reyshawn Terry I think will step up and fill McCants shoes. He's shown flashes in the limited minutes he has played. Once he becomes a starter, he should be able to flesh out his game. Also, I believe keeping Felton might be possible, seeing as Kobex is campaigning for him to enter the draft so the Lakers can take him (if I ever needed the Kobex curse, it is NOW :lol).

McCants, Felton are gone. Despite what May told that crowd (what's he gonna say? "fuck y'all, i'ma get me some bling... NBA bling!), you better believe his ass is going to "test the waters".
The Illini had 30,00 people show up for the rally today, I'm happy to say. I only wish I had known it was going to be broadcast on Chicago TV. There's some highlights on CBS 2's website http://cbs2chicago.com/marchtothearch/local_story_095193906.html.

Speaking of the Final Four, is anyone watching the women's Championship between Baylor and Michigan State? Holy balls, the Baylor coach is wearing a fucking bed sheet while sporting a camel toe the size of a softball. Maybe the Charmin bear is all snuggled up in there or something, but god damn what the fuck.
Nice to see the Illini got the ovation they deserved coming home. Any analyst from Chicago, just had nothing bad to say. Even Jay Marrioti wrote a great, touching article. One hell of a team, that if anything, Illinois won't forget. Anyway, I'd welcome Sean May back. If they had a rematch next year in the tourney, that'd be a dream. Though I wouldn't put my money on that happening :lol

Situation: Illinois and Duke are the top programs in the running for a blue-chipper that's on Dave Weber's Glenbard HS team (Bruce's brother). Recruits name is Scheyer. Supposed to be hot. Anyways, 'cause of the obvious Weber relation/tie, Bruce has access to what Mr. K has been telling this recruit.
"There is a certain coach who is recruiting a certain player from the state of Illinois who has said that Illinois plays for Big Ten championships, while they play for National championships...well we played last night and they didn't, now we are talking about national championships!" Hehehe.
