its very easy on the resources. Based on the demo. I ran mine maxxed. Not even a hitch.Sholmes said:Does the PC version require a beastly rig to run and look good?
Kolgar said:I just got home from the store with a copy of this game for Xbox. Would anyone be able to tell me how this version differs, graphically, from the PS2 game? I've been leaning toward buying most multiplatform releases on PS2 lately, for reasons I won't say because I don't want to start a flame war.![]()
Eggo said:Playing on 360. The speedbreakers are useful for running police roadblocks, especially with nitrous. Only 12% done with the game, but I've already had a 22 minute police chase where I ran into 48 police cars, disabled 30 of them, and managed to escape after running about 25 roadblocks. Level 3 chase. Can't wait to see them pull out the chase helicopter.

say no to: xbox, ps2 and ds version!
cleveridea said:can anyone compare the framerate of 360 vs PC? I dont care about the 'overbright' graphicss, and I have a 6800 GT on A64 2.4 Ghz 2 GB RAM.
NFS on 360 is a fun game, but I would like smoother framerate (esp after experiencing RR6)

Only if you enable the HDR lighting effects (which can be countered with a lower resolution, if you want to use them). Otherwise, the performance is great.Sholmes said:Does the PC version require a beastly rig to run and look good?

Dunno about final game - but demo ran very poor on my 6800 & 3.2A64 - in 1280x1024(4xAA).you'll get 200 fps or something on your pc.
I have the GC version and that is the only slowdown I have noticed. It's certainly not 60 fps, but it is very steady and the sense of speed is fantastic.Kolgar said:You forgot Gamecube.
And I cry foul anyway. On Xbox, I have only noticed the most fleeting of frame rate stutters in the cutscenes that swoop around your car as you enter the garage menus. Racing is smooth as buddah.

Once I lowered it to 800x600 it was nice and smooth though (except for reflections running at ~5fps, but that isn't related to overal fps).

Brandon F said:Similarly, I was very impressed by the demo on 360. The game is gorgeous, and the chases exciting. Control is wonky outside the car, but switching to the hood cam offers far more precision. I'm ultimately now torn between this and the other racers on 360 when I snag a system.

That's what it was reminding me of. Good call.DarienA said:Does the cut scene where you first meet the cop in the "intro" of the game remind anybody of something Delroy Lindo would have said to Nicholas Cage in Gone in 60 Seconds? The cop even seems to be sounding Delroy Lindo-like to me....

DarienA said:I agree with you on polish... no doubt... but Fun Factor is... isn't that subjective?

We need impressions of the PSP version, though. How is that?
There's no middle ground when it comes to certain games/developers. If it's not vastly better than >insert games< it "sucks".DopeyFish said:i really liked the demo for 360. Game doesn't look good? Kiss my ass.
This game is getting picked up next week for damn sure.
