I see it now, but I had to go into landscape mode. It's nowhere to be found otherwise.

I have just realised i cant start new conversatioms and cant create new posts.

So i cant even contact a mod for help... all i can do is post in existing threaa... any ideas?

It may be because you are a “neo member” (new member) and not a full member yet.

I’m not 100% sure, but I think it had something to do with post count and the heavy discretion of the mods at the time.

I get the feeling that it won’t be so random/hard to get to full member now and in the future because the days of a handful of (sometimes crazy) people brandishing power arbitrarily over this forum are over. Things should be more normal now.

Anyway, for what it’s worth, a member of the admin team recently posted that memberships will be expediated soon and there is a batch of new members about to be confirmed, I think.

I don't think its 200.. Check your message count.. Its 105 and you are a member

There is also a guy in a thread that I am active in and he has 30 messages and he is a member.. So I just think I have been overlooked.

I think the old rules went out with the forum transition. I am just guessing here though.

You are not a member because you do not meet the requirements to become a member. Try participating in conversations more and you'll be promoted in no time. Prove yourself to be an active member of our community and *poof* you gain member status.

Chrome on Android. It shows if you switch to landscape mode, like the other guy said.

I tried it in Firefox on Android as well and it's the same thing.

Must be an Android bug then because ios runs properly. Sounds like a fairly simple fix (or quite complex, I have no idea lol).

I guess you could always just set your preferences so that you only receive an alert if someone quotes/mentions you. Then you can go to show all notifications, which for you, would be all the times you were quoted. Just a thought

A bit of an update in relation to banned members.

There's an issue where we can see who has been banned just by seeing their posts in threads, as it used to be in the old forum, but for some reason it only shows up to staff members at the moment. It is something that's being dealt with.

This should be resolved now and banned users should be clearly marked as such. As always, feedback is welcome.

I have a number of posts on the custom steam icons thread (https://www.neogaf.com/threads/custom-steam-icons-for-grid-view.477211/page-71#post-253129327) and some of my images aren't showing for me. When I go to edit the post, they appear correctly. In that post Thor.n and Hitchiker are showing a red cross instead of the image. Images are hosted on imgur. I was pretty sure they were working before, or is it something just local to me?

I don't know what your post content was, but it's likely the post was rejected.

Yes. Occasionally one will slip through, but I’ve noticed that happens on another forum that uses the same interface too. I assume it’s just par for the course.
