captainraincoat can make their appeal of why they are dropping the '9TF' argument other console warriors are known to use, and have also been banned for. Without that qualifier the post is fine. With it, it's just there to antagonise people. If you can provide the confirmation that the console is in fact 9TF (by which we mean runs at a majority of the time at 9TF as per the insinuation) and not 10.28TF as detailed in the release materials, then we can roll back now. Until then the onus is on
The bait comment was in response to baiting other posters (probably Playstation owners) to come in and go through the same cyclical argument of 9TF, it's not 9TF etc. We see no reason this is not the case here. It did not need to be mentioned to make the underlying point. But we are open to being convinced otherwise.

I agree that the context of the post could be taken as console wars as I tend to ignore the marketing and buzz words thrown around as they sound more like politicians than actual gamers and there is a lot of bending/skewering of the truth at the moment.
the mods have obviously been challenged as of late as the forum has tilted more towards hot takes and people have been engaging more in console warrior like behaviour
we all have a part to do and if that means I hold my tounge on some things to make it enjoyable for others to read or engage in conversation I’m happy to oblige and their warning has highlighted that
It's always food for thought when we see otherwise clean posters, do something that is currently a meta for being banned. It is difficult to moderate, but certain comments/meta's are different just because of the scale of moderation that happens because of them (9TF, fanboi, xbot, pony, leak spoilers), so we tend to moderate those across the board in the same fashion. Unfortunately there will be cases where there is a crossover of some of the comments, otherwise decent posters and outlying circumstances. Like I said, we don't believe this was particularly malicious and know going forward you'll be more conscious of the meta until it eventually burns itself out

I was pretty shocked I got banned for this.
The reason was "console waring"
Console waring is when somone will claim reasons why one console is better then the other, or will attempt to smear,insult or attack a particular platform.
The quoted post of mine simply does not do this, its not praiseing or putting down any platform, i said Lockhart should be able to do 1/2 the resolution of PS5 because it makes sense based on what we know, has this place gotten to the point where no hardware comparisons are allowed at all even if done in a way which is not putting any platform in a bad light?
If the moderation is biased towards sony, fair enough. I will leave, but it will be sad, I thought this place had turned a page.

In fact if you look at the way resolution and tflops of the same architecture scale, you will see the correlation is not 1.1
