NEOGAF HOT SHOTS GOLF EARLY BIRD OPEN
Here are the Rules:
-Game will begin at 1 EST Saturday (IF YOU ARE NOT IN YOUR GROUP'S LOBBY BY 1 EST ROUND WILL START WITHOUT YOU).
-Meet in Last Lobby Last Floor (Official NGA Lobby).
-CHECK whose group you're in to make it easier for all.
-At 12:45 EST (or earlier) Group Leaders (me, mojo, and kahuna for now) will create rooms using the following settings:

Course: Highland CC (later tourneys will use other courses as people have a chance to unlock them).
Holes: Qualifying Rounds- 9 (IN). Final Round- 18.
Speed: Normal (watch your timer!).
Auto Handicap: Off.
Restricted Entry: Owner Permission (meaning group leader has to OK your entry into room, to keep riffraff out).
Hot Shots Rules: Novice Only (meaning you can only pick among the first row of characters).

RULES
Join whichever group you're in (listed below--rounds will start PROMPTLY at 1:05 EST). We'll play one qualifying round in each group.

-AFTER QUALIFYING ROUND IS COMPLETE, FIRST AND SECOND PLACE PEOPLE WILL POST RESULTS 1-8 (NAME, AMT. OVER/UNDER PAR (SCORE), and POINTS) IN THIS THREAD (use the format shown below in the sample, and I will cut and paste).
-Once results of qualifying rounds are posted, final group will be put together based on those results. TOP TWO PLACES IN EACH GROUP GUARANTEED A SPOT IN THE FINAL. LAST TWO SPOTS WILL BE DETERMINED BY HIGHEST TWO SCORES AMONG THE REMAINING PLAYERS.
-CHECK THE BOARD RIGHT AFTER THE QUALIFYING ROUND TO SEE IF YOU MADE THE FINAL AND WHO THE GROUP LEADER IS (GROUP LEADER WILL CREATE FINAL ROUND ACCORDING TO RULES ABOVE). The Early Bird Championship will be held and the prestigious Early Adopter Trophy will go to the winnar.
-AFTER FINAL ROUND IS COMPLETE, FIRST AND SECOND PLACE PEOPLE WILL POST RESULTS 1-8 (NAME & SCOOOOOOOOOORE) IN THIS THREAD.
-I'll then post the 1-5 top finishers in the main thread for added prestige and bragging rights.

hey is it possible to play this game multiplayer with one controller? i'm thinking about picking it up, in which case i'd play online of course, but i'm also wondering if could play on the same box with my g/f despite only having 1 sixaxis.

It should be done by 3 as long as people come back and post the results QUICKLY. The timer on Normal makes the rounds move pretty quickly, even the 18H.

Rules and groups are finalized above. EVERYONE PLEASE READ (ESPECIALLY GROUP LEADERS, WHO NEED TO CREATE ROOMS BY 12:45 EST AT THE LATEST. I tried to allow as many people in as possible which means you will have to play your qualifying round, hope to make the top two and the final, and if not hope to grab one of the two wild card spots. It's not that complicated of a process, but one person not knowing about how it works could screw it all up for everyone.

If anything is unclear LET ME KNOW NOW.

Yeah, and the cool thing is that there will be this big room full of gaffers to either play official tourneys with or just 8p custom games when all the fun is done (and even after the first round is done).

With all these people though I'm realizing qualifying for the final is going to be hard as hell. :lol

Come to the lobby and if you see at 1:00 EST (that is, that we have struck the hour on the game clock, which will be the official clock) that one (or more) lobbies is open (not 8/8), hop in. tbh I know 9/10 of these guy will be there but I wouldn't be surprised if 2-3 people just forget or something comes up.

The cool thing about friends list too is when you are in a big tournament you can hit square and sort so you only see your friends chat. I have to cut down my list though I think it's full right now. :/

Don't worry man. I am not to great right now either. I am have the darnest time getting the speed down on puts with the advanced controls at the present moment. I don't expect to do to well the tourney. This game is just so much fun though.
