Has anyone tried Boxcar? I've just updated to the 5 and I'm trying to figure out how I can manage to deal with Sparrow without Push (at least until it gets jailbroken) and saw this as a suggestion somewhere else. I've already moved one of my work emails off Sparrow and onto the default Mail App, but it really sucks having to go back to using Mail after Sparrow

Any recommendations for an alternative YouTube client for iPad? Jasmine is good and is what I'm using at the moment, but it's missing one integral feature that I can't go without: ability to watch video in a small window. It limits you to full screen, makes low-res vids look extra awful.

You might want to get an app to keep track of modules and deadlines etc. I know iprocrastinate is on mac and iPhone, im not sure whether it is on iPad or not. istudiez pro is also meant to be pretty good.

I use note taker HD, Dropbox, Pocket Informant Pro and Beejive IM constantly in my work. Scanner Pro is also extremely useful in a pinch.

Wtf, I was installing apps on my newly acquired iPad (yay) and both AVPlayer and AVPlayer HD were removed from the App Store for some reason. No idea why, I hope it comes back in the future as it's my favorite iOS video player by far. Not like it was a dead app either, it got constant updates. It's because of shit like this that I keep a local backup of all my digital purchases.

Is Flipboard kind wonky for anyone else? I absolutely love the design and functionality, but for me it often won't update for 2 or 3 days. And when it does update stories, it takes a really long time. Anyone else having these issues?

A lot of people like Grocery iQ. My wife and I use Paprika, but we also use that to make meal plans and store recipes, and so it might be too expensive for your uses.

Seems to be gone for now. It probably has something to do with this email I received the other day:

Because of a change in Apple’s policies, we were required to submit this latest update with “letterbox” support for iPhone 5, rather than the full-screen version for the 4-inch display, which you may be already using. This issue only impacts the iPhone 5, all other devices can be upgraded.

We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible and we will let you know when the next Pocket update is ready for users to download to their iPhone 5.

I'm currently using ScoreMobile. You can set teams to track, which includes score updates pushed to your lock screen, customizable by how each sport tracks game progress (you can get an update every 3 innings for MLB games, for example).

I like it a lot, though I barely open the app since I'd just check Notification Center for the latest scores on a game I'd be missing.
