We saw you guys walking around when we were in line for a panel. I was the only one who had a clue what you were but the costumes were great.
My wife and I went to ACEN as the Lutece Twins this year.
Blurry picture but the buttons say "Ships, Shipped, Will Ship."
Oh man! I totally saw you two! You were both great!! The Lutece's are my favorite part of infinite. My other favorite costume at Acen was I saw someone as the Greendale "human being" from Community. I was cracking up, but I didn't get a photos.
I wore Fujiko from the new Lupin anime on Friday:
And Saturday I wore Yurika from Nadesico.

Our masks were kinda botched at this point, but that costume was fuckin unbearably warm/uncomfortable to wear. And didn't get much play, so we only wore them for a little bit here and there.

Ended up at Big Wow Comicfest in San Jose this weekend. Never been before, but it was moderately sized and enjoyable, plus they brought in a ton of cosplayers as special guests. Here's what I saw:

Returning to San Jose towards the end of the week for FanimeCon. It'll be... interesting to see how the crowd deals with the convention center while key portions of it are blocked off for renovations. Looks like I'm going to have to miss Day Zero too, which I guess is for the best since I'd probably spend too much at the swap meet on games. See some of you all there!
Which areas are blocked off? I heard the area that was under construction last year was completed externally. Is it going to be more difficult getting through the front doors than previous years?

That was the front entrance/courtyard where the fountain was. Sealed off so we couldn't use the main doors to get in for most of the day, though they did open one or two later. The sides where people usually did photo shoots were still accessible, though.
The hallways also have big barrier things up like in malls when new stores are coming soon at quite a few spots. Perhaps my memory is just bad, but they were also using these to seal off some of the second floor aisles that people would rest in or do shoots at in front of windows.
Now I see why reg is in the Fairmont this year.

Registration lines are awful at Fanime. I haven't really seen any good cosplay yet.
How long was it today? After last year I went last night and it took 6 hours to get my badge. I spent some time in line sewing. If you see an Elizabeth from Persona3 that's me. Feel free to say hi!

Argh that sucks. I don't know if I'll ever go to Fanime again in the future because this is the worst registration experience I've had at any con. First and last time here I suppose.
Plus, they wouldn't let me peace bond my weapon so my outfit is incomplete now.

That does suck. It only got real bad last year, but it looks like they need more volunteers? That's my impression at least.

Yeah, that line was ridiculous. Really wish Fanime wasn't so strict about photographer press credentials so I could've avoided that crap, haha. You'd think they'd know to have more people working that area after all these years.
Not big on meet-ups since I tend to enjoy covering things from the sidelines, but if all the NeoGAF cosplayers at Fanime wanted to meet at some point on Saturday or Sunday, post a time and I'll do what I can to run by and grab a few shots!
