Judging by that she may have lost part of her arm before and decided to create a fake one for the suit.

Ah man, don't say that, I don't want to feel like a jerk. I thought it was maybe because the way the higher piece of armor on the arm was sitting was creating an optical illusion.

I looked at my other photo and it looks identical to that. I can't remember if she was holding anything in that arm or not. They were in a hurry to leave so I didn't get the best of shots. Maybe DTJAAAAM has a better one of them.

I believe they're in my Sunday album, so may be a few days or even a week before they go up. I took a group shot of them fully armored and then a helmet-free solo photo of each.

No worries, I know you have a lot more photos than I did. I can't wait to see them all.

I think we were standing next to each other when I took this shot: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dperschonok/9347899402/in/set-72157634757141828
But I had to retake mine a couple times and then when I looked around for you, you were gone. You're like a photography ninja!

Not sure if Humanized Chrysalis or Madame Viper...

Yeah I know it's Viper, I just can't unsee the similarity now.

I went downtown on Saturday to go to the Nintendo Game Lounge that was in the Marriott right next to the Convention Center. As I was waiting to cross a street of course there was one of these guys talking into his microphone about Jesus.

There was a girl immediately to my right and I could see her working up the courage to "confront" this guy. Finally she abruptly turns toward him and yells, "Why do you think we're all sinners just because we read comic books?" and immediately he responds with, "We're all sinners, ma'am, Jesus died for our sins, you can read all about it in the bible." She looked like she wanted to yell more but was coming up with nothing and got all flustered and embarrassed and pushed her way through the crowd so she could stand somewhere out of his line of sight until the crosswalk turned green.

It was awkward and made me laugh so I just had to share it. People should learn to just ignore those dudes. Also lol ironic sign.

Yeah, I've learned to ignore them as well, when they try to convert people at music festivals. When I was young, I sometimes tried to debate with them, but quickly learned that it's utterly pointless.

As someone who is a Christian, I have learned that there is a proper time and place to try to share the gospel with people. Doing something like this will get some people's attention but will end up being a waste of time (but then again, he did achieve one of his goals by getting people's attention). I understand his point and tried to make people view the Bible in a more serious way by using clever wordplay but this isn't the proper forum to really connect with people on biblical studies.

That being said, I'm still sad that I haven't been to ComicCon yet :(

I never understood how making people feel guilty about whatever they were doing at the time was suppose to be a viable tactic for conversion.

But alas, let's not make this thread about religion. I wore Red Sonja to SDCC and it was a ton of fun :) I can't wait till I wear it again at Dragoncon and make my hair huge like Barbarian Xbox. All I have are shitty cell phone pics until I get real photos back, but I think they still look cool!

I don't understand how being a practicing Christian is mutually exclusive to reading comic books and listening to music. Can't watch movies either?

I'm non-religious, but that was actually a pretty level-headed reply by the guy. He didn't try to make himself out to be better than the girl.

It doesn't. Again, I understood that person's purpose but it was the wrong time and wrong venue. There's nothing wrong with music, films, books, etc,. The subject matter is a different story but like most people, I just don't buy or watch whatever I don't find appropriate. It's everyone's right to patron or not patron whatever form of legal entertainment they want.

That quote is awesome, and I don't even fully agree with evolution.

Oh yeah, no, I thought it was perfect. I just loved how flustered she got by it. Kinda regret posting about it though 'cause I don't want the thread to get off track. We need DTJAAAAM to get his SDCC stuff posted to get us back on course.

Might as well share the stuff I've finished so far since it's going to be a while before I get everything processed. Wasn't the best SDCC I've been to, as I had my share of mishaps (missing some of the cosplayers I've waited months to see like the Lost Boys and the Joe & Mac victory girl, losing my badge on Saturday, wasting time in line for exclusives that weren't for me), but it gave me plenty of time to reflect upon and appreciate why I enjoy this little hobby of mine. Took waaaaaaay more shots than previous years, but we'll see in the end if I hit my goal of 2,000 shots since there's quite a bit of scenic stuff that I don't like to count.

Stuff from preview night and Day One:

I'll say this about Comic-con, everyone who's doing skin alteration stuff knows their stuff. save for 1 or two latex issues, everyone had incredibly good face and body paint the entire weekend, even the homestuck kids who usually just slap it on.

Here's a couple of mine.
