For a second I thought it was some random camgirl playing the cosplay angle. Whoa.
She looks great as usual. As much as Heroes of Cosplay try to make her look bad for the scene, she seems pretty cool and it looks like she cares about the characters she plays. Now Monica on the show seems to get nastier and nastier by stories people posted that have run into her at conventions. Crazy how cosplay has turned into such a cut throat competition with some considering themselves above others and refusing to be a part of the scene other than to have their pictures taken on stage or for a magazine/shoot.

Arms, legs, and chest, but i would be wearing a shirt. this would be my first cosplay.
You probably would have less chance of winning a competition ... but go for it ! =D

Dammit! That woman is attractive as all getout. I hate admitting it because she strikes me as an attention hog who doesn't actually play games, but I can't deny it.
Tell me, is my feeling here outdated or misplaced? I feel like those who get paid to wear costumes shouldn't be called cosplayers. I mean, cosplay is the passionate fan who sweats and bleeds over their elaborate costumes in loving tribute to the things they care about most, right? If you're getting paid and somebody is just giving you a costume to wear, you're not really a cosplayer, but instead kind of a booth babe or model or something to that effect, aren't you?
Like I said, correct me if I'm wrong but I feel like a lot of the galleries and threads for cosplay at events are chock full of paid models and while they look neat, (Nigri for example) they're not really what cosplay is about.

Not difficult to get that impression with push-up bra's, tons of make-up and going out of your way to make your outfits as skimpy as possible more often than not. Even when you're dressing up as something like god damn Pokémon.

It seemed to me like pro cosplayers are getting paid but they make their costumes themselves, so in that sense I think they're still true to the spirit of the thing.
As far as I can tell, Nigri both gets paid to cosplay AND does it for fun.
She's an attractive woman who seems to enjoy wearing videogame/anime-inspired costumes that expose a lot of boob, and she's fortunate enough to occasionally get paid to do it, too.
I do think that there's a difference between a cosplayer and a spokesmodel dressed like a videogame character, but I'm not really sure where the line is drawn. Too often it seems like a 'no true scotsman' fallacy.

I think this is the same girl that was on the show Hero of Cosplay. It showed her making the costume and then showing it off/competing with it. IIRC she doesnt win best costume, but she ended up placing and getting some recognition for it. The picture looks nice, but it is even better in full motion.

I never saw that show but I know some people who were on it. IIRC the winner was set from the start and none of the ones making their own costumes were told or given a chance..There was a complaint and they edited it to look like some kind of drama outburst or something.
Basically good on her for placing despite the thing being staged.
