you didn't specify that it had to only interface with a console just hot swappable nvme
that enclosure basically does exactly that
it also translate to usb-c 3.1 (thunderbolt would be better / faster speeds) and that costs $20 (the circuitry is far more complex for this enclosure the xsx drive only has a cut down nvme drive encased in metal the console itself exposes the pci-e lane as the external port. The drive itself is just off the shel enclosed in metal - nothing fancy about it the enclosure probably costs way less than $20 retail and pennies to manufacture.
I mean personally I wouldn't be happy with these prices even if I was a loyal die hard xbox guy - its price gauging same as the vita with its horrible expandable storage and pricing. If it was Sony doing this I would be pissed & not defending it, but each their own.
If you guys insist on defending bad practice regardless of company, they will take it as a sign that this is acceptable and carry on doing it, if you complain and make a fuss maybe they will revise the price to be more inline with what the drive is actually worth.
