Hah I remember this exact level. I also remember playing the original Conker at E3 with all the zip trails and the cute imagery.

My memory is a bit rough but the original Conker didn't have an overarching storyline right? I'm pretty sure it was all a bunch of random events that happened to him, I completely forgot how they were all strung together too. Is Rare trying to tie them all together with a cohesive plotline with this remake? They seem to be focusing a lot on the Tediz or is that simply because of the new multiplayer features.

agreed. conkers was a game that I thought was immature to the point of not even being funny, but it was one of the few N64 platformers (or last gen platformers, period) that i even slightly enjoyed.

Could very well be. It also seems they are doing a GTA:VC in taking the piss out of Edge magazine, not that I can remember Edge being too hard on Rare lately so it might just be a friendly play on the Edge logo (GTA:VC had a magazine named Erse on the table in the first building you saved in for those that dont know).

And conker looks sweet hope the loading times arent too frequent though.

Yeah, those were all added. And the magazine bit is funny as hell. Can't wait for this game.

About the plot: Technically, there IS an overall story, but the game's more about the outrageous situations this poor squirrel gets himself into.

The story and the plot are sequenced smoothly in this game. Those visuals rock, Rare still got it.

Looks great. Unfortunately the multiplayer was a total bore at E3 and incredibly repetitive. The single player will obviously be incredible -- here's to hoping they can iron out the multi.

As long as the multiplayer is at least as good as it was on N64 i'll be happy, i'd rather a more polished single player game.

I wish this was on GameCube.
