New Gran Turismo 6 trailers [Complete blowout: All cars/tracks/features/etc]

I have tried to figure this out for a long while now, but I got these 2 wheels and they look identical besides the brand (Logitech and GT) but what are the differences?

TBH, they are both crap. You can get it a G25 used for cheap, and it's really the best bang for your buck wheel. Also, if you somehow break it, there's lots of parts on ebay to fix it, and lot of mods for pedals/shifter.

It's worth every penny, does the same thing the G27 does for a cheaper price. If only the brake pedal was a little better, it would be 10/10.

Of course, the event organization so far has been quite crap as well. Even if they added a healthy amount of racing cars they still would have half the field from one class/series racing with half a field of completely unrelated cars, on a track neither of which would actually be racing on.

Really if they could fix one thing it would be the event lineup. If I pick a DTM championship I should expect to see only those cars there on tracks they would actually be racing on or at least fictional ones that make sense.

very true...ive just been hoping for racing mods being back on all the cars like the GT2 days...i think it just adds SO MUCH to the game...taking the modifications to the extreme

Quick note: 20 of the new cars are part of the 15th anniversary edition but can be unlocked in the game.

To clarify, all cars listed above exist within the game, and you would have to unlock them individually. The cars and items within the 15th Anniversary Edition are intended for those that want a unique GT experience with custom livery and performance upgrades added to their collection of cars

There will be no paid dlc for cars according to Kaz.

“For the Vision Gran Turismo cars we are actually planning to allow downloads for free”

Remains to be seen about tracks.

EDIT: I misquoted. Kaz was talking about Vision Gran Turismo cars only.

I'm not in the market for a new wheel. I'm perfectly happy with these ones. =/

'Vision Gran Turismo' is the concept cars partnership thing, so it is a bit more specific than 'downloadable cars'. That is, we will probably see paid car dlc.

as u should be.. not sure if you missed my post, but I think those are both DFPRO's.. I have this wheel. Been working since GT3.. I never noticed a DFPRO without the official GT logo.

they are not "crap" they are a VERY solid entry level wheel and MORE than adequate for what probably 95% of Gran Turismo (or any driving game) player is going to need or want from a wheel...

Yeah, you might be right about that. I never noticed as well until I bought the used Logitech-branded one last year. I wish I could still buy the power supply separately.

The only thing I could wish for from this wheel is a 6-gear shift as that's what I'm used to driving on the streets, but I'll be fine, it's just a toy/peripheral anyway.

My bad, i thought you were comparing before buying.

Car list is missing the Ferrari P4 and also two new Mercedes models that were listed in a PR, so the disclaimer "subject to change" is actually a good sign.

Might not be the final final list.

Lots of great news and really looking forward to see how well the GPS editor works when it releases. Will get versions of the North West 200, and Ulster Grand Prix Dundrod tracks as soon as possible!

Thats awesome.

i think he means the vision GT concept cars?

Id be surprised if it really was free DLC for all cars since GT5 had paid DLC models.
Umm yeah that makes sense.

Well, very nice.

:)

Have you ever asked about leaderboards, as in Prologue? It adds so much to the game... why not? Only thing that's making me sad, really...

I understand it's hard to do, but c'mon even if they chose select models it would be a start. Even crappy racer Dirt had an awesome ranking system where every race was ranked online for replay purposes.

Oh mah gaawddddd those trailers and screens and everything.

Wasn't that hyped for this but now, already placing my order. Can't wait!

My G27 is certainly ready.

I hope they laser scanned the moon, there is no way they'll accurately replicate the complex surface undulations from basic GPS data

I gotta say, I wasn't gonna pick this up until I read some reviews (due to GT5 mainly) but... HOLY SHIT PD you gone and blown me away. Definitely gonna pre order tomorrow. Loving the new UI, the car list, tracks etc! Just seen the photo mode screens where you can have more than one car in shot. Heaven!

Finally I just want to say no one beats PD at trailers, fantastic!

Keep up the great work PD.

Brad. :)

Looks fantastic - hopefully that terribad emo-pop isn't a taste of the in game soundtrack though.

Not a biggie, I usually go with the smooth jazz. :)

I know, I have no idea.

I personally do not care much about permanent leaderboards, especially because of the constant evolve of the physics (we had at least 3 major physics update during GT5 life) - Seasonal Events Time Trial leaderboards are just fine for me.

But what I really miss from Prologue are Official Matchmaking races with pre-determined details that are working 24-7. I do not like custom lobbies because there are rarely "Pro" settings enabled, something that official matchmaking always had. I hope they will evolve Seasonal Events into that at some point.

Also no Porsches.

Troll ;)

Shame about the F1 cars.

But at least there is still the Formula Gran Turismo (Which I expect will be premium now, since it's the only F1 car)

It's not. They're counting the standard to premium car conversions (eg the Cizeta V16T ’94 and Lamborghini Countach LP400 ’74) as "New to Gran Turismo". So we would see it with a "6" next it's name if it was.

When he posted the GPS picture he said "Notice anything new? :)".

It's from some GT event that they're holding at Willow Springs today.

This x100000000

There is quick race now so I hope that is essentially what they had with prologue.

I guess he's referring to the red line on the track map showing how you drove the course?

Probably not the right place to ask this but since everybody is talking about wheels, I'll ask anyways. Anybody here have a budget suggestion for a wheel stand that doesn't require a lot of space? I'm in a much smaller room now without any room for a table in front of the TV. I have a G27 if that's relevant.

Might need a DVD case or magazine under the wheel to fully tighten, and you have to sorta force your knees on the inside of the tray to make it rigid, but hell, it works. And Plus, the swaying that my 6'1 190lb body add's to the turning/tray sway adds to the immersion.

You said budget. Not dignity.

Plus, when you disassemble and put away, women wont notice you've invested 100's for your nintendo.

There are premuim old standards that aren't included in the "6" list (People have spotted them on GTPlanet)

Maybe it is because the GT86 has a turbo, can't install one on GT5! :p

Hey man, I bought a stand from these guys, http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/wheelstandprouk2012
Can be kept in a small space, folds up and stands up to some pretty vigorous driving.

Coffee Break

These are mini-games that appear between events in the Career Mode. There are many challenges that can be tried over and over again, such as a cone knockdown event inside a stadium, and eco-challenges where you compete for how far you can drive on just 1 litre of petrol.
Hah, love it.

I was having a bad day until this thread came along.

Holy shit that new car list is amazing, lots of good new american vehicles. I love that the 2012 Boss 302 and the '13 GT500 are both in the game. Also, my actual car made it in the game, Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track '13!! I had no idea it was going to be in the game, so fucking excited to drive it in the game around some amazing tracks.
