One tree to rule them all.

If you told that was a real photo, I would believe you.

TBH, they are both crap. You can get it a G25 used for cheap, and it's really the best bang for your buck wheel. Also, if you somehow break it, there's lots of parts on ebay to fix it, and lot of mods for pedals/shifter.

It's worth every penny, does the same thing the G27 does for a cheaper price. If only the brake pedal was a little better, it would be 10/10.

Cheap? Cheapest on Amazon seems to be like $200 which is ridiculous.

its how I enjoy gt, and have been for about.. 9 years, lol. It works.. will post vids one day. And cant wait till we start a Gaf League. People getting dusted will be reminded of the rig that it happened through :D..

but yeah, thats probably more sensible. TVtrays are laying around sometimes..

I've tried a TV tray and it was way too fucking wobbly. This stand is far from ideal but its small, reasonably sturdy and not too expensive.

buy one of these

I have this setup. One minor gripe is the pole. A standard car has the brake in the middle and gas on the right. So my right foot isn't moving naturally like in real life. I mount the pedals as far right as I could but the stand wouldn't fold down all the way since the brake is now in the way. Otherwise it's a great setup for the money.

the wobble*TM adds to the next gen experience.. as does tightening the wheel 1/2 way through a race when it slips and flies to the right.. man, memories.. lol. But yeah, I think I'll grab something like you posted in the future. I'm just cheap, and if you balance the tray, its enjoyable hehe.

Glad you tried the TVtray though, lol. I was desperate, bought the wheel, had nothing to affix it to.. worked-ish.

If you were to tell me GT6 was a Next Gen game i would've said it looked awesome but the fact that it is a Current Gen just...

Do we know how many they DID get to? Whats the standard/premium split this time around?

Nobody knows yet (At least I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere).

Although Kaz did say that Standard models will be slightly better quality this time (So no repeats of that infamous picture of that white car lol)

Finally.. goddamn!
edit: can we now preview the paint finish?

Loved the trailers. Day 1 etc...

Looks like it since there a "Paint" tab in the lower right hand corner that looks like it'd be what you'd click to actually paint your car that color. It seems like they've done a good job of responding to a lot of GT5's criticisms.

Good to hear. I only use cockpit view so I hope the support there is much improved over GT5.

No course maker at release? Huge bummer.

I agree, but with the new GPS functionality built in the Course Maker, Gran Turismo 6 is going to really change the world of the racing games once again.

Course Maker
This feature, available at a later stage through an update, will allow you to create your own custom tracks that can be driven in the game. Additionally, in another update we will add the possibility to generate a track by capturing the GPS coordinate data of a mobile app while you are driving that course. This GPS-generated tracks will be available in the game as playable content.

That one functionality is THE functionality of the GT6 and it will change many things.

Also, can't even imagine what will that foundation carve for GT7 on PS4.

I take it you can share these GPS-created courses? If so, I can see that being pretty damn special.

Holy crap that night time sky!

That came out of left field. I didn't expect Gran Turismo 6 to turn into the Real Planetarium Simulator also

fuck me, I just came twice and I'm not ashamed

GT6 is bigger than life... 37 freaking tracks + ability to create and import your own.

All these features.... amazing really. My PS3 will be getting a lot of love.

It seems like they've done a good job of responding to a lot of GT5's criticisms.

From what I can see and track - from GTP to GAF to my small community - they responded to almost each and every they could and that were reasonable IMO

For instance, if somehow they allow for the oil to be changed in the pits prior to the online races, I can officially announce how each and every single "wish" I personally presented to Kaz over his twitter from 2010-2013 has been covered. I know it is just my small personal universe of wishes, but I can't fathom how can anyone say PD is not listening.. from Spec 2.0 to current 2.15 and all these announcements for GT6.. I can only see how all major community wishes have been covered one-by-one.

If some type of livery-editor (that Kazunori himself hinted few months ago) appears in the final pre-release fact-sheet with all final overviews such as community options, online and rest, it will be a GT game nobody even could dream about.

There is no single area they haven't cover or upgraded or announced they will upgrade. Also, the sheer amount of details presented today is astonishing, all those that have prior knowledge about GT series can read so much out of data they've presented today.

surely course maker is in the day 1 update?

it makes no sense to completely remove it, i'd rather have the gt5 version with a couple of new themes to tide me over until the new and improved version is ready than nothing at all.

absolute madness.

Wonder if you can share these tracks.

I've got a certain 37mile track on my door step that might be quite popular to share

THIS THREAD NEED MORE GIFS!

It looks phenomenal. Can't believe this game looks about as good if not better than Forza 5, and it's on PS3. Amazing detail.

God fucking damnit. I wish there was a PS4 version. I might actually have to repurchase a PS3 for this.

I will have to check it out at a friends house to make sure it does not have issues like GT5. Couldn't care less about photomode or replay or compressed gifs. I had 50+ hours in GT5 and never thought "OMG is dis reel life?" So seeing it action on a TV is the best way.

All those tracks sound amazing though.

Well, logic says we will be able to.

Custom-captured GPS track will "just" be series of points that needs to be recreated within Course Maker. It will "work" in the same way as it was in GT5: when you're sharing a track, you're not sharing an actual track, you are sharing an data-layout that is generated locally on your console, same as replays.
