New #PowerYourDreams commercial for Xbox Series X|S

Zero reaction. But well commercials never worked for me.

I wonder if there are different commercials for different markets though.

I watched the full commercial, better than the snipets, the halo part was cool. But after that it falls apart. And hate to say it but, halo comes out late next year, so I feel it falls short for hyping you up for launch.

Loved the titanfall ad they did years back, that shit was cool.

One thing I noticed was this is the first Series X commercial and they sold out of their preorder allotment of it despite not even marketing it to the masses. And broke records on top of it. Microsoft will have an incredible gen. Bethesda is just icing on the cake for Phil.

You can take the advice. Im not the one upset over a valid criticism of a plastic box.

Now stop derailing the thread. You guys are ridiculous with this warring shit.
You sound upset though, not going to lie.

Not sure how we're derailing anything either? It's an Xbox related thread, i like Xbox and the ad is awesome as far as i'm "concerned". Nah, take your own advice, if you don't like it, don't read it (or watch).

You're the one in here actively concern trolling about a completely different issue :messenger_tears_of_joy:

...for those of you interested, this right here is regarded by many as the single best piece of video game advertising ever made, and is still taught in marketing lessons:

It's fucking sublime - for many reasons I don't have time to go into now.

Its dog shite......... we have psfanboys a few comments up saying "show us gameplay" same should be said here, its a trailer trying too hard to be clever imo. This new XB ad is fine, nothing special but its cool.

Feels like they are copying Playstation from last gen.

Has very little to do with video games. The first one anyway.

Have you seen the PS5 commercial with the ships? Doesn't really have anything to do with video games either. I would say the Xbox one gets a little closer to video games with the brief appearance of Master Chief, unless I am missing seeing characters in the PS5 one.

I am not sure if we are the target market for these ads, because we know about the consoles and games. I really think they are just to drive up awareness that new consoles are coming and to appear "cool".

You're derailing trying to play green warrior here. Stick to your ad talk and stop replying then. Trying to prove you're not triggered by adding laughing emojis always works lol.

You guys have no valid argument but to try attacking me so im not wasting my time anymore.

I agree with that, but the one they did before was literally all about the features of PS5.

It's a bit pretentious imo

Rik Mayalls Nintendo ads were the best for me

That was a cool ad; I have not see it before. Do you know if it is being aired in the US?

I would say that we know what the voice over was talking about, but I am not sure if the average person watching would. However, if the ad does it's job right, it would make the uninformed curious and want to know more about what it is talking about.

I hate these kind of ads, it is just to get mum's to notice what they can buy little Timmy for Christmas.

Erm... that's kind of the point. These ads aren't aimed at NeoGAF. Most of us have already decided what we're buying, based on reveals and gaming events (which I'm sure Timmy's mum didn't watch), and we make up a minority of their customer base.

Great trailer that sells the slogan perfectly. Again, fantastic job by Microsoft which is a continuation of their good work and messaging.

I think thats what is off putting for the xbox ad. It starts off good with him putting on a headset, picking up the controller then you see the armor manifest on his arm, and the helmet. I was in on that, then it goes all trippy and im like what?

They learned from their mistakes last gen and whatever console you are planning to or already pre-ordered, competition is always good and bring the best out of companies and this is the recent example with Microsoft. They are nailing it so far.

Nice ad, but I have to say it was a bit distracting when the actor turns into a very bad CG render of himself. Surely this stuff should be easy to green screen??

Kind of a rip off of the old PS4 commercials.

Is there even an need for tv adverts?, i mean outside of possibly the XSS, will you even be able to go into a store and buy a XSX or PS5 come launch?

Erm... I agreed in the second part of that original post as to why they're a thing? Exactly the same reasoning as yours. Sony are a company at the end of the day, they need to make money from their biggest marketspace, the casuals, just saying they're not my cup of tea.

Consistent with their vision for their next generation Xbox. Microsoft has done a stellar job so far with marketing for Series X.

Eh... Ok. Take away the Master Chief armor oh, I'd have no idea this was a gaming commercial. I get what they're going for I just don't think it's very effective for what they're trying to do.
