Hell, the snow ground textures and Hyrule field textures look the EXACT SAME.

Hey, fuck that, check out those 2D trees on the left center of the screen -- the real reason why Zelda was delayed!Ecrofirt said:this town holds the world record for most twins/triplets/ect!

And you think I was happy with everyone looking the same in RE4?SantaCruZer said:you haven't played RE4?

You think I'm going to be happy when Dead Rising comes out and there's 1000 of the same 10 zombie models on screen?
I dunno, it's just my memory that Zelda has had pretty unique characters in the towns in its 3D (NOT 2D) games.SantaCruZer said:Point is, more games than Zelda (and re4) are like this.
they arent twins, hyrule is just like Japan- Everyone looks the sameEcrofirt said:this town holds the world record for most twins/triplets/ect!
Exactlyolimario said:It's one thing to have enemies the same. I'm fine with that.
My problem is that you're supposed to be able to interact with unique NPCs and with the twin, triplet, quadruplet thing going on you aren't going to have that.

Meh, I was on the Celda bandwagon right from the get-go. Zelda NEEDS to be vibrant, whimsical, youthful, and imaginative. The more I see of this game, the more I KNOW I was right.Wyzdom said:People were bitching TWW graphics "meh, it's too colorfull (childish) we want maturelda"
Now they get EXACTLY what they ask for and they "meh, this game is having no charm, bad art, blablabla.
You all just shut up already.

olimario said:No, because I haven't come to expect the same kind of NPC interaction in those titles as I have with Zelda.
..pakbeka.. said:IMO the npc's are looking like they should, they can't all look original and interesting (except for those important to the plot). I don't want a random npc on a town looking more interesting than link and I don't want all of them to have a subplot.
Maybe that's wht the team hated and is correcting right nowolimario said:So you want boring NPCs that look and act alike? Okay :lol

..pakbeka.. said:yes, as long as they seem to be doing their everyday duties and not simply stand there.
that said, a small part of them should have some kind of plot around them and some interaction, but not all of them or half of them, more like 15%
Those are probably the two BEST looking Pikmin 2 shots out there, when I looked through the ign and PGC image stashes.olimario said:Wrong.

The ground texture was better and on some areas had it had a shine to it.

olimario said:Why would you want this when all of the NPCs in Wind Waker were unique? Not all of them had elaborate back stories, but they all looked and acted differently from one another. I want the world as believable as possible if you're given the choice to interact with NPCs.
..pakbeka.. said:in WW most of them stayed in the same place and said the same thing though the whole game, and they all looked diferent because there was only 30 of them, maybe even less, and only one town
You realize it's called NCL (Nintendo Corporate Limited), not Nintendo of Japan, right? And that EAD, also known as Nintendo R&D 4, is making Zelda, right?AssMan said:Didn't you hear? NOJ is creating this game for the western market. That means ugly art!

He's always had that shackle on his wrist. He was chained up and Midna broke him out. That shackle remained however.wind_steaker said:did wolf-link have that thing on his left "hand"/paw when we saw him in the twilight realm? im guessing thats why he is in the normal world as a wolf.

Craig Majaski said:Olimario: Have you played Twilight Princess?
Yes? No?
Because quite honestly you're spouting shit about a game that doesn't deserve to be shit on. The demos at E3 were superb and just as fun, if not more so, than the Windwaker, which I loved by the way. You say none of the characters shown have any charm or backstory or any relevance to the story, but how do you know these things? At E3 in the village there were all sorts of characters, each with a very unique look, and ones that were very important to the story even at that early stage in development. Right away I became attached to the little boy (Colin I believe?) and he gets kidnapped and must be rescued. The characters are just as charming, if not more so, in Twilight Princess. It seems to me that you really like to prejudge things before giving them a chance. Sure, TP has a very different graphic style from WW, but it certainly looks more epic and exciting, IMO.
First it's the lack of grass (of which there were quite a few areas to hack down grass at E3) and now the characters aren't interesting? Seriously, chill.
What.olimario said:That first screen is stunning. I liked the way the game looked back then, but it's become less interesting since.
