New Zen3 Ryzen coming soon °praise the sun°

I heard some crazy rumours about Zen 3/Ryzen 4000, needless to say yes, it will complete the destruction of Intel in the desktop CPU space. It is not just an iteration more like a Zen re-design in all areas.

Something like this vs Intel's upcoming release:

- Significantly better multi-thread performance (even with them concentrating on single core perf this release)
- Faster gaming performance
- Significantly better efficiency
- Better platform features
- More cores as per usual
The biggest improvement, imo, is the unified cache. Because each CCX will have 8 cores instead of 4 cores, an 8-core Zen 3 CPU won't suffer from cache and CCX-to-CCX latency like the 3700x.

So uh, amd seems the way to go for the next cpu, are they still under intel for gaming performance or they closed the gap in the last 3 years? I didn't followed the cpu market at all.

Also, did they improved their driver? I don't want funny stuff on my pc, i'm lazy and noob enough for that shit.

I guess that maybe i can wait another year with my 8600k but i don't wanna bottleneck my next gpu.

The combination of these and the new 30** RTX cards is going to be the dog's bollocks.

With the new PC hardware, 9th gen consoles and Apple silicone Macs, I don't think there's been a more exciting time to be a massive tech geek in at least the last decade.

Current Ryzen CPUs are slightly slower at gaming, but not significantly. The next generation (4000 series) which is around the corner, is supposedly going to be 20% faster, i.e. smoking Intel. That information is based on leaks, so, take it with a grain of salt.

First generation Ryzen had some hiccups. I'm still rocking my 1st gen Ryzen. But current Ryzen systems have matured quite a bit. I have not had any major issues with Ryzen, apart from being unable to clock the RAM at the speed I wanted to. But that issue is unique to the 1000 series of Ryzen.
If you decide to go this route, go with either a B550 or X570 motherboard. You can put a cheap 3000 series CPU as a placeholder if you wish. The 4000 is guaranteed to be compatible.

I don't care about overclock, i just want a stable system without me studying solutions for amd (or intel) bullshits...

Can someone explain to me reslly simple why intel are struggling so much with CPU technology? I always thought they were kings on this??

Multiple reasons. The two main ones are that they were too full of themselves, and, their failure with their 7nm node.
