It doesn't matter since both consoles will have hardware-based raytracing. Since RDNA1 does not have that support, the next gen consoles' GPU's, by definition, are not RDNA1 or at least, not RDNA1 strictly.

Except he didn't. He started off by dancing around the numbers between 11-12. Didn't say exact numbers but he basically pointed towards that range some time ago when posters threw guesses at him. The guy has been constantly updating and changing his info. The only thing he said at the start was that both consoles will be double digit RDNA TF and the PS5 is a bit more powerful. The rest of his story has been constantly changing according to latest rumors, info. Like VRS, 12tf.

I remember it now, he said it was a tiny bit over 12TF and someone said 12.1 to which he replied that was it. Osiris gave us 11.6 tho.

I mean, I'm not saying he's 100% right with his info, ofc it's yet to be seen but, the truth is that so far - other than lockhart, which other insiders also thought its was dead, even the MS guys like Tom Warren and Brad Sams - he's has not been wrong.
In the end the XSX might end up having a slight power advantage, but every insider so far has been saying the same thing: that both consoles are close in specs and performance. So for me the 9 vs 12 TF narrative is dead.
But he has given wrong info in the past, so just like every other insider with unverified info, it's best to take what they say with a grain of salt.

Keep in mind, all the 'insiders' are actually outsiders with second hand info, including demigod Schrier and ModGod Matt. Whether they have integrity or not isnt the question, rather are their sources (actual insiders)reliable?

Thing is though is that 9 v 12 is close in performance. It's not like one can play games that the other simply isn't capable of. The various ways of reconstructing to 4K can hide most of the discrepancy.
Then you could also have things like one being ahead in Teraflops, but the other is a bit better at ray tracing. Or has a faster SSD, or a slightly better CPU. Or any other little things that we don't know about yet.
There won't be a huge difference between them, even if one is better and costs a hundred bucks more.

I believe that Klee knows the range where these consoles will end up, but I don't believe he knows the exact final specs. I'm sure he thinks he knows the final specs, just like he was adamant that he knew Lockhart was canceled.
Klee seems to be the only one adamant that he knows the final specs. He was also the most adamant (up to the same day that we got the news that it wasn't canceled) that it was canceled. He's been very confident in the past about the wrong info.
