I think they keep Welker, but Branch will be a FA (although they probably bring him back) and I don't know what they're gonna do with Ocho. Besides that they have corner Edelman, safety Slater and Hi-top fade Underwood, so I hope one way or another they get a WR (Lloyd)
I wonder how Lloyd is going to work out. I think he is going to want a signficant contract. I actually see him going where ever he will get paid the most. For the numbers he put up a couple years back, he's been scraping along in terms of salary. He is a bit of a diva as well, but Pats are good with that type of thing.

I believe this is a pretty good CB draft, so maybe they can improve the secondary. A guy like Dont'a Hightower would be a dream, but he's probably gone when they pick. Regarding the WR pick, they need a good WR, but drafting WR's hasn't exactly been their strong point, so maybe free agency is a better place. If they can sign Lloyd they're all good at WR.

Pats payroll is $85,187,806.

If Kraft cared about winning maybe he would spend more money then the Jags.

It's easy to forget that Watt is a rookie, damn the 2011 draft was a good one.

I'm trying to rank what I think will be the top 10 players out of the draft and it's easier said than done. Here's what I've got so far:

1) Cam Newton
2) Aldon Smith
3) Patrick Peterson
4) AJ Green
5) Von Miller
6) JJ Watt
7) Andy Dalton
7) DeMarco Murray
8) Marcell Dareus
9) Julio Jones
10) Ryan Kerrigan

And on top of that there were several more players I was really impressed by like: Torrey Smith, Richard Sherman, Mike Pouncey, Tyron Smith, Cameron Heyward, and Christian Ponder.

That's not even mentioning some of the 1st rounders that didn't get much playing time this year like Prince Amukamara, Jake Locker, Mark Ingram, and Nick Fairley. It is easily one of the best draft classes of the last decade.

Our second round pick was better than half those guys.

If Woody Johnson cared about winning he'd actually hire a head coach, not the defensive coordinator they currently have.

No he wasn't.

Our head coach has more playoff wins in the past 3 years than Bill. Bill also hasn't been great since he got busted for cheating.

haha, I didn't know Sean Payton was a scab, no wonder he's got such a chip on his shoulder with Harbaugh.

You're seriously going to compare the two?

First don't ever bash Bob Kraft. You have no leg to stand on here. It's purely out of pettiness.

Second regarding the two head coaches, you're wrong. The Patriots haven't been successful in the past three years in the postseason. The Jets haven't been successful in the last 40 years in the postseason. You really want to compare the two? Regardless how shit easy their schedule was, the Patriots finished 13-3 with a defense full of practice squad players. Not to mention wide receivers playing nickelback and safety.

Meanwhile, over in the Jets camp, Rex Ryan has lost his team to the point where they've resorted to petty bickering during a game that could determine whether or not they made the playoffs. As a coach this year he completely failed. Regardless of how utterly poor Sanchez is, his job, to coach the team, was a miserable failure.

I know Jets fans have a similar inferiority complex like Red Sox fans did with Yankee fans but that's no excuse. Cut the shit, your team is a joke. Your coach is a joke and the butt of foot sex jokes and ownership has brought in winners like Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress. Go projectile vomit somewhere else.

Sheard was pretty good in the games I watched, I'm also factoring in that he has little help, easy to chip when you only have to worry about one end. Good motor too.

Man the pass rushers this year kind of stink.

What a great running back draft. Earlier in the year someone posted a Wes Bunting article and the dude was trashing the class, I thought wtf guess I'm wrong about the running backs. Now he's changed his tune and thinks it's deep. Lots of talent and it's going to reinforce the notion that you can draft RBs later in the draft, though some of the late 2nd and 3rd round finds are do to poor projection more than anything.

David Lee to Bills?

David Lee to Bills?

Is it official? I checked earlier but no word.

All I know about Lee is that Nutt obviously likes the guy and that can't be good. He also gets credit for the wildcat when it's more likely that he aped it from Malzahn.

Edit: yeah, it is official. Whatever, can't pretend to know anything about the guy. Welcome aboard. His wildcat YouTube vids were cool when the formation was in vogue.

Jets 09-11: 32-22 and 0 Super Bowls
Patriots 09-11: 37-14 and 0 Super Bowls

Man, you guys have outplayed us like crazy!

Oh and:

Jets expected to simplify playbook for Sanchez

word is sanchez likes things around the highschool level…wait thats something else

Made me giggle.

lol yeah, whether he's talking about Sheard or Little, that's just wrong.

The only defensive players that were better than Sheard are Smith and Von Miller. You could argue about the offensive players but when comparing the Browns to the talent lvl on most of those other teams and it's even more glaring.

Why do pundits keep saying that Trent Richardson is a top 10 pick? Who would take a RB in the top 10? RBs in the first round are a luxury, and teams picking in the top 10 have far too many needs to afford such a luxury

Bucs need to get around to announcing Marty or Cowher as our next head coach. These guys need to be able to start gathering quality assistant coaches before other new coaches steal them from us.

Seriously, get on with it you cheap fucks!
One day when I'm a billionaire I'm totally buying the Bucs.

I hope so, we need enough players across the board with a lot of guys hitting free agency the coming offseason and with other guys just sucking (still finished 13-3 so not really complaining). Finally picking up a pass rusher would be really nice and safety like Mark Barron would be really sweet. With Oakland's pick in the second I hope they pick a WR. Another corner would also be nice and a real stud at center is also needed.

So I hope they go :

1. Corner
1. Safety
2. WR (Maybe that kid from Rutgers)
2. Center or DE

Edit : But BB will probably trade the second first rounder and pick a shady RB, one dude who is injury prone and a MLB. 'Cause he's a draft genius.

They need to spend the first 4 picks on defense and draft or sign a FA deep threat receiver.

You're seriously going to compare the two?
Yes. In 3 years Rex has 4 playoff wins and a winning record in the regular season after a shitty coach.

Also Rex has a top ranked defense, not like that swiss cheese offense that Bill runs and drafts.
First don't ever bash Bob Kraft. You have no leg to stand on here. It's purely out of pettiness.
Guy runs a corrupt organization and cheats. Look at Bill's hiring, look at spygate, look at McDaniel's hiring.

You want to talk about club history? How many times were the Pats gonna move to a different city? What do you define as successful in the playoffs? Reaching an AFL championship, winning the Superbowl making the playoffs? The Jets have made the AFC championship game in the first 2 years of a new coach's rein. I'd call that success.

Also who talks about their team full of practice squad players with pride? Also your team lost to and created Brent. That makes your team automatically worst.

I know Jets fans have a similar inferiority complex like Red Sox fans did with Yankee fans but that's no excuse. Cut the shit, your team is a joke. Jets ownership has actually brought in talented players instead of letting somebody like Bill try and have every draft pick in 2039. Maybe if Bill should realize that he doesn't have to have a practice squad for a full roster. Outside of a shit OC and a RT they have brought in good talent.

I can't wait till Tebow(with Ezekiel 25:17 on his eyeblack) walks on to the field throws for 400 and runs for 200 and then all of the talk is what a great job Bill has done with the team he has and what a great coach he is to have Brady and choke 3 years in a row. Bill will win coach of the year again despite losing in the playoffs and ESPN will have another circlejerk session about Bill and Brady.

All they mean by simplify is less slants and run, run, pass, punt.

One day when I'm a billionaire I'm totally buying the Bucs.

You might have enough money now!!!

It's clear the Glazers just want to move the team to England.

They might sell it to you just to take some of the Sting out of Rooney's contract.

When I think about it they shouldn't draft a WR unless it's a player like Blackmon. Developing 'raw' WRs isn't exactly their strongsuit so might as well don't even bother drafting one.

1 LB Dont'a Hightower
1 S Mark Barron
2 DE Vincent Curry
2 A corner
3 A center to develop behind Koppen for 1/2 years

One can dream

The one player who I want the most is Courtney Upshaw from Alabama.

I'm going to ignore the rest of your haterade fueled post of teenage angst and just concentrate on the dumbest part of your Billy Madison-esque rant.

Not only would hiring McDaniel's provide absolutely no insight into what the Broncos are doing this year under a completely different coach and offensive system, but they hired McDaniels before anyone knew that Down Syndrome Tebow would pull an undeserved win out of his ass to even face the Patriots.

Are there any people still alive from when the Jets won the Super Bowl last?

Fixed, and no, not very many.

How the fuck was it undeserved? They outscored the Steelers and the refs totally blew a call against the Broncos? Your hatred of Tebow is making you say stupid things.

For the Panthers' first round pick, I'm hoping either LSU CB Claiborne (probably not) or Bama CB Kirkpatrick (could get snatched up a 1 or 2 picks ahead of us) are available. I wouldn't mind LSU DT Brockers or PSU DT Still, but we just drafted two DTs in the third round last year. Although they didn't show much at all this season, I'm still hesitant to spend a top ten pick on a position we invested two third round picks in last season.

maybe he's clinging to that illegal formation on the last play.

How is the panthers oline?

I think Tebows extra chromosome gives him an unfair advantage. The league should be piss testing for this kind of thing.

Heck yeah, I'm interested in seeing where he goes. I've seen him projected anywhere from top ten to end of the first round. I was just saying on another forum that if I'm the Browns I don't trade up for RG3, I'd stand pat at #4 and #22 to see if Claiborne or Blackmon fall to me at 4 then try and grab Upshaw at 22. This draft is so deep for LBs that the Giants should be able to land a pretty good one and finally make me happy on draft day.*

*Yeah fucking right.

I would be very happy if he fell to 15 but I doubt it.
