Besides a scouting report what is Shaun Ellis going to give to the Pats?

Really? He's an upgrade over Ty Warren... who would've been an upgrade over anybody we had last yearl. I don't think he's quite the answer to the glaring hole the pats have, but it definitely helps out.

I was around when the Packers beat us in the conference game, Ray Carruth was plotting murder, I was around when we RAPED the Giants in that first round game of epicness, I was around when we were 1 and 15.... :(

I was living in Boston wearing a Steve Smith jersey during the Super Bowl, almost got my ass kicked for it. And sadly, I was around when Jake decided to play for the Cardinals and rip my heart out then shit down my throat. I ain't no half ass fan motherfuckers. PANTHERS FOR LIFE

FIST BUMP BOWSER!

It's not hard to be an upgrade to a guy who hasn't seen the field in about 2 years. I want Matt Roth too.

I agree with that. The point is Ty Warren would've been a huge upgrade from last year, instead we went for Shaun Ellis. He's definitely a good pick up. The problem is they still are missing that final DE, and from what it sounds like Cunningham won't be that guy.

Hm, you're right, I forgot to say what happens if I win!

Since DCX was first, it'll be between he and I. If I win, DCX gets to rock a sexy avatar of the entertainer, the icon, Cam Newton.

I know, it's not even punishment, is it? I'm too generous.
If i win you'll be rocking Julio Jones ugly mug for a season.

DCX

Just realized that the Giants get the very first crack at Scam. This should be fun.

Didn't the Giants open against the Panthers last year, too?

EDIT - Indeed they did. Why would I remember such a thing?

We're opening the preseason against them, not the regular season.

And you probably remember because Moore totally melted down in the 2nd half and threw 3 picks along with a fumble :(

Whatever happened to Jake DElhomme?
I know he got injured at one point. Did that really destroy his career so suddenly?
He lived like 5 miles from here. Everybody is pretty disappointed that the Browns cut him.

Being a Panthers fan is easy because you always know when to be one up until the Delhomme era ended. All you gotta do is look at the previous season.

The team is a bit different now so we may actually be good or bad in a consistent way from season to season, but back then we were only good or bad every other year. Not consecutive years, but every other year.

I think he's pretty much done. There were whispers that the Panthers were considering bringing him back as a backup/asst. coach, but I don't think there's anything to it.

He needs to just come back to Louisiana again. SIgn autographs and stuff. I was actually pretty upset when the Saints let him go to Carolina and started Aaron fucking Brooks. I mean WTF?

What is NBA/MLB-age like in comparison to this thread?
I very loosely follow basketball with the New Orleans Hornets, but I don't have much interest in the sport. Baseball puts me to sleep.

Blaine Gabbert has impressed onlookers at practice during training camp by all accounts.

During his first scrimmage, he reportedly looked more like you’d expect from a rookie.

“I thought maybe he was a half-step slower than he has been in practice,” Jaguars offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter told Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union. “Maybe it’s the conditions or whatever. The first time with crowd. He’s got undeniable talent. But he just needs reps. He’s been here a week.”

Gabbert’s numbers were pretty poor: He completed 12-of-27 passes for 76 yards and a score. There were reportedly four drops.

huh!? but i thought gabbert was a prodigy and unlike any other rookie QB in the history of the NFL!

Jets look stoopid for not bring back ellis

lolwut?

Not really, he is going into his 12th season, was offered the minimum, was hurt in key parts of the season last year (playoffs) and his numbers aren't daunting to the point that it is a huge loss.
