And looking at the Colts schedule, I don't see how they win a game. It's a bunch of division rivals that will be taking out their old frustrations as well as good teams. The only game that's not is against Carolina, looks like 0-16.

Always a chance the Texans play down to us!

If the Colts division rivals have any sense at all, they'll make sure Luck isn't in the division. Miami and Indy are ensuring losses by continuing to employ their head coaches, so it will go down to the wire.

Of course I disagree. I'm not telling you we don't need to run the ball. I'm not telling you our offensive gameplan is ideal. What I'm telling you is we have Tom Brady at the quarterback position. We have Danny Woodhead, Ben Jarvis-Green Ellis, and Kevin Faulk at the RB position. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure the rest out.

We don't have Corey Dillon. We don't even have Antowain Smith.

So they didn't draft 2 running backs this year? One being Ridley whose show he capable of contributing.

They use different tiebreakers

Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best net points in common games.
Best net points in all games.

Coin toss

Would be hilarious if someway somehow it came down to a coin toss.

Why did you have to go there. It pains me to think about how little he has been used.

I didn't say we didn't. Do you believe Ridley to be a 1000+ yard rusher currently?

If both the Dolphins and Colts go 0-16 how do they decide who gets the first pick?
They should give the 2nd worst team the pick. They at least tried, fair and square.

I agreee. It was more a Mike Simms-Walker insult. If he's on your roster, your GM should be fired
Agreed, he sucked for us. Lloyd is definitely an improvement. Though he blew that catch today, he made up for it with that great catch.

BJG has run for 1000. Yeah Ridley could run for a thousand in a season easy if the Pats actually you know..run the ball. I'm not sure why you think it's hard for a RB to run for about 60 yards a game.

That's for the playoffs. Tie breaker for teams in the draft is strength of schedule. The presumption is that is if Team A had an easy schedule, and Team B had a difficult schedule, then Team A is "worse" than Team B b/c they achieved the same number of victories against lesser competition.

What would happen if every team tied? 0-0 every game?

Would playoffs be decided by yards gained?

All the official NFL tie-breaking procedures end with coin tosses. Man, that would be an exciting 3 hour special on ESPN.

Sure. That is a part of the gameplanning issues.

Well yeah. I don't think anyone is dogging the Patriots for having Tom Brady throw the ball 40 times a game, since we've had enough time to realize that that works really well. My understanding is that all these complaints are about playcalling. No matter how good or bad your pass and rush game are individually, running 5-wide, shotgun spreads, and dual-TE constantly does not serve your offensive gameplan at all. It takes away the play action and Brady isn't mobile enough to make defenses pay attention to him.

The Jets game last year was a demonstration of that, as the Jets figured out that they could ignore the run completely, trust their defensive talent to execute the coverage, and let the rest take care of itself. I'm not sure if the Patriots have actually adjusted to that yet.

Perfect, so you are agreeing with me. If we had a 1000+ runner in the previous season, how are we not running the ball?

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage

And gosh a couple of my picks didn't turn out well this week.

Yeah, I always pick against the Lions in Pick'em. It's my thing. Not sure why that's surprising. I'm superstitious to the max when it comes to stuff like that.
