NFL 2014 Week 12 |OT| - Matt Stafford vs. the World

It appears that the ulterior motive for getting rid of Avant was some critical comments he made regarding Tank Commander Ronald and Mike Shula's handling of the second to last drive against Atlanta. To remind you, that's when Rivera and Shula trusted the field goal kicker to make a 46 yard field goal to win the game rather than the offense that had just scored on two consecutive TD drives and took the ball out of the quarterback's hands.

To paraphrase Avant:

"Rivera is a gutless worm and Shula is a bitch-made coward and they are both fools for trusting a field goal kicker to win the game for them."

(I may have changed a few words around)

The Gettleman regime has zero tolerance for dissidence I guess. 89 was able to say much wilder shit back when Hurney was in charge.

ESPN's Scott Brown reports the Steelers have "no interest" in waived RB Ben Tate.

Tate has been linked to the Steelers both by reports and pure speculation, but it's apparently not happening. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the Steelers are prepared to go forward with Josh Harris and Dri Archer behind Le'Veon Bell. Pittsburgh's running game would immediately go in the tank were Bell to get injured, but it's not as if Tate has been an impact player this season.

Blount and Tate both seemingly have Attitude problems, who are teams trying to claim first?

Just saying settle down if I got excited about one game I'd want Hoyer to have a 100 million dollar contract, or Yankee Would want Foles to be His qb for forever.

I'll get super excited after Manziels first good game.

Edit: vaunted secondary LOL, I have dealed with it.

How much longer do I have to look at your avatar?

Too bad about Blount. Dude could be a premier back in this league if he had an attitude and work ethic that were worth a shit. As much as it sucks to have zero depth, I'd rather that be the case than have Blount's ignorant ass corrupt Bell more than he already has.

FWIW, Avant's camp does not believe the cut was about his post-game comments on play calls Sunday

I don't see that as a factor in regards to the corrupting Bell. give him a bit of a pass because of his position in the league. Dominant running backs are few and far between in the NFL. The position also has an actively decreasing shelf life and he is almost out of his prime.

Not agreeing with how he went about it, but I can see where it would be frustrating to maintain success at the position.

Cam Newton's twitter account has been hacked, we're currently working to resolve the issue.

Must have been protected by their OL RT @Panthers: Cam Newton's twitter account has been hacked-Matt Miller

WTF HOUSTON!

1960? No surprise that is not a nice area. How the fuck did they not hire security?

I feel like most of 1960 is perfectly safe, I mean it's entirely suburb and shopping centers.

Of course we can both be correct because in Houston you can go two blocks from a nice area to the ghetto.

Time Warner upgraded my internets to 100mbps. Since I'm not that type of Asian, how much faster do I get porns now?

No shit. I live in Kingwood and Humble is ghetto tastic.

Jingle all the Way is a top 5 Christmas movie for me. The way you old nerds feel about Lucas making the Star Wars prequels is how I feel about them making JATW 2

The faces look ten times better on PES. Thank You Based Kojima for blessing us with the Fox Engine.

Everything else I agree with. PES is just a much more natural, realistic game of football. FIFA against the computer has way too much cheesy bullshit (they will score an equalizer or winner in the 90+ minute every third game guaranteed on the higher levels) and online it becomes a LT+Y/L2+Triangle ping pong spam fest.

PES' problem and the reason it will never get mainstream acceptance again is that everything surrounding the actual game is shit. The presentation is shit, the commentary is shit, the game modes are shit, the poverty Ultimate Team rip off is shit, the selection of team and stadiums is shit.

If you don't care about any of that, then PES is the game for you. Until Konami gets that stuff up to scratch though, FIFA will be the better overall game.
Have you played FIFA lately? Because... what?

Playing against the CPU is fine and I think the whole conspiracy about the CPU scoring late is a load of bull. I play on the second hardest difficulty and just won the Premier League title with Everton.

Defending against lobbed through balls is easy if you are good at the game and they got nerfed for 15 anyway.

I don't get bionic's complaints about the ball physics and scripted nature of the game. Frankly I never have. It's the most organic sports game I've ever played and I'm continually amazed by how realistic and varied the physics play out. There are goofy bugs at times for sure but for the most part it is a technical marvel.

I think you guys just aren't playing it enough. Anyway, I hope PES keeps getting better, EA needs competition.

Yeah shopping centers. Hooray for slot machines and massage parlors.

I was mostly confused because the new girlfriend lives in Jersey Village and near 1960 and 249 it's not bad at all. Then I realize that's like 3 miles away which may as well be on the moon in Houston reckoning for quality.

"Slot machines" because I think they're all technically illegal in Texas. I've honestly never been on that part of 1960, only the parts near the major highways like 45, 59, and 249. I have, however, been on highway 6 and I can concur that it's basically pretty ghettorific until you hit Sugarland.

I play it plenty. It's ping-pong on grass.

And that's not even to say that it's terrible or that I don't enjoy it.

PES just plays closer to a real game of football to me.
