NFL 2015 Week 3 |OT| - A Fraud Finds His League

How about your left tackle?

Shazier just had a monster game. Was most impressed with him and Tuitt and Heyward during the game. I hope things are starting to click for these guys.

Not sure what that last part about Murry not being comfortable has to do with anything. Guy is getting hit as soon as he touches the ball, hard to be comfortable in situations like that. If they cant figure out the middle of the OL then they have no chance. Guys are coming through clean most plays and just causing havoc. I wonder if we will see Dennis Kelley get some snaps this week against the Jets. I am not even sure who has been worse between Barbere and Gardner, they are both getting blown up most plays. I wonder if any teams have serviceable guards stashed xon their practice squads that the Eagles could sign. Shit looks so grim right now. Defense is going to take a big step back this week, no Kiko and no Cedric Thorton. That Jets defense is going to destroy this offense.

Those guards are bad, but it is nuts how bad Kelce has been. Also, Ertz cannot block. Celek struggled too. And you are right about Lee. Was a monster, but also unblocked a lot too

My god at the bottom one. 58, it looks like, on the Cowboys hits the guard, drives him back like 3 yards, bounces off the double team and tackles Murray for a lose. You would think that an NFL level guard could at least stand up a guy on a running play and not get tossed into the backfield like that. Kelce has been terrible as well though, you are right. I really think if the guards could block anyone at all the rest of the line would look better.

Watching some of the All-22, Tyrod has similar issues to 2014 Wilson. Looking to bail out a bit too soon, not trusting teammates/OL at times. Feeling the pressure, stepping away but sometimes into a sack instead out of one, if he stepped up a bit more he had some fucking wide open throws. Outside the pocket he's deadly, but you have to win in the pocket. Trust what's around you, step up and fling it. Hard to teach that.

Heyward is looking legit in these first two games.

Shazier could be a pro bowler. My only question with him is whether or not he can stay healthy.

Hard to say anything about the secondary. They were dominant in the first half but I have to assume a lot of that was the qb and not the defense.

I knew the defense was going to make plays this year but I also knew they were going to make mistakes. The hope is that the offense and defense click going into the playoffs. That and a favorable schedule. The same thing every playoff contender hopes for.

Tyrod straight up for Bradford?

Cancer. Pagano had the most secure job on Earth at the time.

That said, I disagree. I think Arians would be running into the same problems. As it is he went to a team that had a good core of players on both sides. Colts didn't have that.
Fair enough but still think he would do more with what they have than Pagano.
Well, for most people, I think they figured Bruce inherited a good team riding an emotional high in wanting to win for Chuck. But, obviously, Bruce had more to do with it than originally thought. He's doing a fantastic job in Zona. You're welcome that the Rooneys ran him out of town!
True, thank you Steelers, Colts and Bears for forcing him out and passing on him. Keim's the man!
Niners will beat the Cards this week.

Nope, Niners getting prostrated. Want to do an avatar bet on this game?

Don't read the All 22 piece from Duffy or Cosell

Duffy:

Chris Browns' tweet got a lot of run, but they were not predictable b/c of formation. Lots of good video there

Cosell:
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...what-ails-the-eagles--offense--025024320.html

Runners usually have to create their own space with inside zone runs, McCoy was good at that. Murray not so much. That is why I anticipated more stretch runs by the Eagles. Inside zone was never a staple for the Cowboys.

I wouldn't doubt it but I don't think the cards are very good either. They've beaten two of the worst teams in the league and have one of the worst pass defenses in the league. Nothing will surprise me!

Tebow you're in denial. Or extremely salty. Whatever, you'll learn soon enough. Or maybe you won't since apparently 11 wins with primarily using backup QBs isn't very impressive. More than you got with your shit starting QB ;)

You had your chance, we'll give you EJ!

I hope Tyrod develops better pocket ability, but it's doubtful. Either have or you don't. Look forward to watching him the next few weeks, haven't been able to say that about a Buffalo QB in over a decade.

Hyde should've continued outside!

Stillers feeling themselves beating up on a trash line/offense. We left a ton of points on the field too. What do you think the pats or a decent offense will do to you?
Any time you score 30 in a half you are going to feel good about yourself.

You should also recognize that we did that by substituting our no. 2 receiver with DHB and without our all pro RB.

I do agree that a decent offense is going to destroy our defense but at least we have an offense to make it competitive. You could say we gave the game away against the Pats with retarded calls in the RZ and missed FGs but you know better than anyone else that no one gives a shit about what could have happened. If we liked subjective interpretations of sport we would be fans of soccer and ice skating. The scoreboard is what matters most!

Tim McManus ‏@Tim_McManus
Josh Huff said that when he lined up near Dallas sideline, there were times when he heard Cowboys calling out Eagles plays pre-snap.

Not sure what to make of this. Would think the teams would be pretty familiar with each other

I would probably do that trade right now. Foles cant run to save his life, but the few times he would keep it were enough to at least make teams think about it. Now everyone on D just crashes down on the RB, no one keeps contain at all. At somepoint Bradford is going to have to keep the ball on one of these runs to at least try and keep the defense honest.

CBS and NFL Network did indeed combine for the largest-ever “Thursday Night Football” audience, with the 21.117 million for Denver-Kansas City edging past last year’s 21.117 million for the Pittsburgh-Baltimore opener (20.777 million), according to final national estimates from Nielsen. In adults 18-49, this year’s 7.5 rating matches the franchise high set with the opener of last season.

Sando on Bradford (Insider). He's never been a fan, and I have always gathered that he got a lot of behind the scenes snickering from the SEA players.

Hey, Sam Bradford is in good company as the 32nd-ranked (last) qualifying quarterback in QBR through Week 2. Peyton Manning, Luck and Brees are also in the bottom five. That said, while two games clearly isn't enough to go on, production is not the only point of conversation in Bradford's case.

I was on the phone Monday with a former personnel director when he asked whether I could name the one quarterback from Week 2 who had a deer-in-headlights look. Bradford was my first guess, and Bradford was indeed the quarterback this evaluator had in mind. At one point Sunday, a close-up camera shot of Bradford made me wonder whether he had been concussed. I thought he looked lost.

This Bradford conversation with the former personnel director made me recall what a veteran linebacker said during the 2014 offseason when I asked him about Bradford's prospects for improvement. This linebacker played in the NFC West when Bradford was with the Rams. He faced Bradford multiple times and thought something was missing from the 2010 No. 1 overall draft choice.

"I don't see it in his eyes," this linebacker said. "I don't see it in his mannerisms."

Do the eyes have it? When Bradford was with the Rams, coach Jeff Fisher described him as competitive and driven. It's reasonable to think Bradford will need more than a couple games to get comfortable with a new team, a new offensive system and another new ACL. It's also true that Bradford took a physical and mental beating on bad teams in St. Louis. Young quarterbacks do not always recover from such things.

Did Kelly do any talent evaluation at Oregon or was he just the scheme guy? Because his ability to evaluate talent at the professional level seems like complete dog shit.

Holy shit I had no idea that Dwayne Bowe got $9m guaranteed from the Browns. That is indefensible. He wouldn't make the roster for 30 teams
