NFL Off-Season |OT2| My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Draft

It always works out when your franchise qb is a sexually confused wannabe fashion model on the side. Pats fans should be more upset at that than Dallas fans over Romo wanting to be a pro golfer.

The lesson? Master your own profession before trying to learn another!

I went to Great Clips last week since my lazy ass barber is closed on Mondays and the woman basically gave me a lap dance.

I highly recommend Great Clips.

I had in the past, she must have recognized me or just pegged me as someone who might visit the local strip club. It always freaks me out when I see a stripper or escort (my buddy used to run a site...don't ask) doing things normal people do.

It's all about the job. I don't work a 9-5 (or a 7-3 coalmine shift) so I can manage my days as I see fit. I usually find a handful of things I want to do in a week and schedule everything around them. I play games when my daughter goes to bed at 9. My wife doesn't work so it's easy to find time for us to hang out. But honestly, it I weren't blesses by the dead elk god in my professional life I'd find it hard to find any me time.
Is that code for Social Security Disability?

Admit it, you never thought he was cool.

He's gotta be cool, he's an alligator in a snappy sweater. Only downside is he's a dirty Pats fan.

I'm surprised more of NFL GAF doesn't post in Drunk GAF.
Especially Browns GAF.
And Pats GAF.
All those post cam-gate losses have to take a toll.

ps Screw the Falcons, Panthers and "Saints."
Racists.

I'd die of alcohol poisoning if I drank every time the Browns disappointed me.

I haven't been keeping up too much with the bill, but I am reading about it now. Even with the last minute increase in what the NFL will have to pay for the stadium, they are still getting a better deal than the Minnesota taxpayers. If I was a Vikings fan, I would be more pissed at the NFL and Vikings ownership than the Minnesota politicians if this falls through.

Of course the NFL is a business, and it is probably in their best long-term interests for the Vikings to be moved to LA. So it makes sense that Minnesota has to take it up the ass in this deal.

It's all for show. Both the house and the senate stuck a "fuck you" into the bill before they passed it. I personally think they're hoping to piss the Vikes off enough for them to say fuck you back and leave our money on the table.

I kind of thought they were going to take the easy way out and pass it was the Vikes wanted it, only have it go before a public referendum. That way the far right and far left wouldn't piss off their constituents

Just came across this, story about Nick Sorenson, who was just a 10yr special teams gunner (started zero games) in the NFL, i figure we'll be getting more of these. Had 3 concussions in college, 10 concussions (his estimate, probably way more) in the NFL

http://www.espncleveland.com/common/more.php?m=49&post_id=1070

“I never had a headache in my life until probably my fifth year in the NFL. Now I get migraines every two or three months,” Sorensen said. “One day I was just sitting at home and everything got blurry all of a sudden. I just started throwing up and it went on for eight hours. Now, whenever my vision gets blurry, I take an Excedrin and drink coffee, an espresso. If I catch it quickly enough, before I throw up, I’m OK.

“Six or seven months ago was the worst one I ever had. For some reason, that time (the Excedrin and coffee) didn’t work. I threw up for five hours. I used to get them twice a year, then every four months. Now my wife is keeping notes. I think they’re coming about every three months. I’ve got an appointment to see a doctor.”

Only been out 2 yrs.

Just caught the end of The Herd and they talking about the Carter/ Noski feud....Carter calling Bill a dirty player...Crazy stuff. Can you guys help me out with a link to this to show others.....

Carter put a bounty on Romanowski

Romanowski responds

Unfortunately, I can't find audio for any of it. But here's a basic synopsis:

Last night on Hill and Schlereth, Carter admitted that he had put bounties on people before, in one specific instance against Bill Romanowski. Carter claimed that Romanowski had threatened to hurt him early in a game in 2001, so Carter gave some of his o-lineman some "change" to make sure he was protected.

Romanowski went on the Herd this morning and defended himself, saying he would never specifically target any player and that he just played hard and sometimes people got hurt because of it. He specifically mentions his famous hit on Kerry Collins (the one where he broke his jaw), stating how satisfying it was because of the gruesome nature of it. (He detailed the aftermath of the hit in almost disturbing detail). But again, claims that he never specifically threatened Carter and was never a dirty player.

Carter just happened to be walking through the hallways of the Worldwide Leader and heard the Romanowski interview, so he decided to drop in on the Herd as well. There he reiterated his claim about Romanowski's threat against him. And again clarified that he went to his o-lineman to protect him because he took threats coming from a guy like Romo "very seriously". Carter claims that Romo is one of the dirtiest players the league's seen in the past couple of decades and goes through various incidents (the Collins hit, the teammate fights, the spitting on J.J. Stokes).

It's funny to see how the topic of the discussion has shifted almost entirely from Carter admitting a bounty( he told this story in order to explain how bounties have always been a part of the game) to if Romanowski is a dirty player or not.

No need to shift the conversation. Romo was a roid rager. Dude ended the career of a guy on his own team. In practice. Ripped off his helmet and then beat him with it. Basically killed the poor fellow.
Not really, but close.

According to LaCanfora, the Jets and Steelers had a draft day trade worked out to swap picks. The Jets were going to move back and take Irvin, the Steelers were going to move up and take DeCastro. Ended up well for one of those teams.

I need to get myself one of those bowls.

I'm conflicted about DIII. I played the hell out of Diablo II (Hybridzons, suckas), but I don't have much time when I get home to dick around.

Maybe later in the year.
