Even as a soccer hater, tomorrow will be intense. Germany/Portugal/Holland/Denmark is like the worst group you could get into. Until a few months ago, I was a bit more confident, but recently we've been stinking it up.

I'll just assume all of you will back Germany. It's impossible to root for Ronaldo/Robben/That country you couldn't even find on a map, right?

Holland and Denmark are two different countries? Which is the one with the wooden shoes and pot smokers that drive around in boats b/c the country is underwater?

As an American who enjoys watching football I don't really have a dog in the hunt but I do enjoy watching Ronaldo and all his antics on and off the pitch.

I'm rooting for whatever squads have Chelsea players on them, poor Cech got destroyed because Czech sucks. Not ever rooting for a team with Rooney on it (even if he cant play!) so uh lets go Spain!

My grandfather was sort of born in Germany so I'll root for them. Then The Netherlands b/c I like Dutch. Mostly I'm just going to root against whoever flops the most.

I watched part of the first game today and once Greece got a man down they just took dive after dive trying to even it up until they got the goal

It's been awhile since I played the console versions of AssCreed, but the WiiU version looks better than I remember. I still think they are in trouble once PS4 and 720 hit, but it will definitely be a cool upgrade for first party games, which is all most people really seem to care about anyway

The more I consider it, the more Wii U appeals to me. It already has three games I know I'll want to play (NSMB, Pikmin, Rayman Legends), Nintendoland looks more and more fun and seems like a great bundled game. And Kamiya is directing a game on it, which essentially pushes it over the top for me. Won't pay more than $300 for the system, but Nintendo always prices their consoles well.

Oh I'll never buy it. I haven't played a Nintendo game beyond setting up my parents Wii since the N64. But it does look like it's going to have enough power to let Nintendo's first party stuff shine. I don't think it will have even Wii levels of third party support, but I don't think that's really an issue for GAF's Nintendo fans. They would have never played 3rd party stuff on it anyway so there's no loss.

My big hope is that the 3 consoles can stave off piracy for a good while. I really think that is a bigger killer than sales age or PC gamers ever want to admit. If the PC had better ways of stopping piracy, I think it wouldn't be an afterthought for publishers

Also, I can't believe Nintendo apologists are willing to excuse 7 year old technology on their new console, that's just embarassing.
