What's funny is people are excited for the Wii U at all. You can get that shit right now. Go to the store, buy a shitty third-world tablet like the Android Nobodyisbuyingthisshit, grab a roll of duct tape, strap the tablet to your dusty-ass Wii which hasn't been turned on since SMG2 and voila! You're only 2-3 hits in the head with a hammer from enjoying yourself!

Well they started working on it in 2009 I think, and it's been customized quite a bit.
It's supposed to have modern "2012" (I think anyway) features.
And it's been speculated that it's a GPGPU, which would explain some of the problems devs have had since their engines aren't designed for that.
That and just the usual new system stuff.
Its running an underclocked IBM chip from 2007 and a gpu that can't run current gen tech at 1080p.

honestly i never have and never will go to nintendo for cutting edge stuff. i have a PC and i'll own the true next gen systems for that. i go to nintendo for their awesome first party titles
