NFL Off-Season |OT3| Josh Freeman is fat and eats too much food. Fat. Fatty. Fatfat.

I only watch Jennifer Capriati

I helped her family move from Pinellas County to Bradenton. This was right before she went pro and her mom was showing us all of these news clippings and telling us how her daughter was going to be a big time tennis star. I figured she was just being a delusional parent/fan that you see sometimes.

She wasn't there in the house in pinellas but she was there when we got their stuff to Bradenton. : D When I got there she saw me and ran to her room and changed and put on make up lol. Had that starry eyed look that a 15 year old with a crush gets. But I was 19 at the time and wasn't interested at all in a 15 year old with rich helicopter parents.

Hadn't she already won grand slam events and been busted for coke by 15?

Looking at her wikipedia entry I'm going to guess that this happened in 1991 when she was 14. So she would have already been a pro but hadn't won any titles yet. Her family was moving to live full time at some tennis academy where the families live on site.

For me the most attractive tennis player was Martina Hingis, who I also am 99% sure I ran into. Those are as far as I know the only 2 celebrities I've ever met. Pretty sure it was hewr as this was at a 7-11 across the street from a Ritz Carlton hotel in Naples. Anyone who has been to Naples might know where I'm talking about. It's the hotel on the beach at Vanderbilt beach. She looked at me and smiled, I kind of froze, she looked down and saw a cigarette in my hand and went back to what she was doing completely ignoring me. I guess the swiss miss doesn't like smokers : (

Funny thing is the PS3 version is a lot faster than the 360 version. That's why I prefer the 360 version.

And yeah the Messis and Ronaldos are hard to defend, but I've been playing with Chelsea since Fifa '08, so I can handle them.
FIFA was so garbage last gen.

I really hate how powerful some players can be in both versions. That trend started at the end of last gen so it must be something that people want, but I hate it. I usually prefer to play with middling teams for that reason. It makes you have to pass more and set things up instead of literally dribbling through 8 players and running into the goal.

Or you can never learn the pro dribbles and play that way...like I do.

Eli #5 on Jaws list of QBs. Rapist was #6 but I can't find the writeup.

"Eli Manning is one of the smartest, most aware quarterbacks in the NFL," Jaws says at the end of the segment. "His development over the past three, four years has been steady and consistent. He is now one of the top five quarterbacks in the NFL.

Brees, Rodgers, Brady, and I guess Peyton still left on the list. I'd rather have Eli than Brees but it's hard to nitpick with any of these guys

She didn't win shit when she was a teenager. She was so hyped up that she retired really young.

I thought it was weed she was arrested for.

She came back fatter and uglier when she was older and made something out of her career.

I was never a big womens tennis fan though.

I think I remember her getting busted with crack then dating some porn star for awhile.

You don't need to learn the pro dribbles to dribble through 3 players. Those guys are just so fast and overpowered you can almost do it by sprinting and changing direction once or twice.

Makes it hard to defend them. You can still do it (with the exception of the occasional miracle goal for 40 yards), but it is stupid and annoying.

They took Ben's elite status away! He was elite after 2008. Eli wasn't Now Eli wins a SB and he is elite (for a season).

I hate all power rankings though outside of the bottom 10. I always love to debate who is the worst team, qb, etc.

Gameplay-wise FIFA clearly surpassed PES in 2009 and never looked back. They added so much depth to the controls especially with the tactical defending last year.

I dunno, the PES Wii controls are still unsurpassed IMO in terms of letting you have more control over player positioning.

We weren't talking about the Wii version, it was 360/PS3.

Yeah the goals in the Wii version were insane once you got the hang of it. Literally no one played that game though so I stopped as well. No one wants to play the computer.

State of current NFL stadiums. Raiders likely to play in Santa Clara but league I guess is trying to force out Marc Davis and according to Sam Farmer, change the name (and fan culture) of the team

The three stadiums that turn 10 this year -- New England's Gillette Stadium ($325 million), Seattle's CenturyLink Field ($430 million) and Houston's Reliant Stadium ($352 million) -- cost less combined than either of the two newest ones (Jerry's world, Giants' Stadium)

edit: Teams looking for new stadiums/locations Raiders, Rams, Bolts, Jags, Bills, Falcons, Panthers

Falcons? That's crazy. How much do the taxpayers have left on the Georgia Dome? Reminds me of Bud Adams wanting a new place when there were still 25 years left in bonds on the Astrodome

Change Raider fan culture?

That would be the dumbest thing Goodell has done yet. And that is saying something.

The way things are going it sounds like the next merger of leagues is going to be between the NFL and the lingerie league.

Yeah, neither am I. Although there's no reason we should be playing in a dome in Atlanta.

To be fair to Blank, he put his own money on the line to pay for the enhancements to the dome.

The league wants Marc Davis out. Whether it's because he's semi-retarded or that he can't afford it is up in the air. But to make money you need to sell suites and season ticket blocks to corporate clients, and they want no part of the Raiders brand and criminal fans. So a new owner can't be the bad guy who kills off the Raiders. The league will do it. b/c Goodell is the hero the NFL deserves . . .

Don't act like you haven't been waiting for that all along. Your dirty mind is just lusting for Brady in garter belts.

Not too hard. Blank has talked about a new stadium for a bit, but they realize there's the hurdle of the lease that doesn't expire for another ten years or so. There is a standing committee of sorts, and Rich McKay's focused on that bit of the business.

Last I heard, Blank and McKay's plans were for to half finance it as a replacement for the Georgia Dome and co-own it as a location for conventions and so on.

If they move, I'd rather they put the stadium in the northern suburbs - Patriots style.

It would be strange if they did away with the Georgia Dome. Possibly the first large stadium I would have seen being built and demolished.

I imagine it's still a pretty good venue, haven't been there in about a decade.

The article does make a good point. Jerry Jones gets a lot of use out his stadium. It's not doubt going have a big role in the CFB playoff, and already hosts a lot of non-conference games. I'm sure it will end up the home of UT-OU for awhile. The taxpayers are actually not that bad off with all the events he brings in relative to what they paid

ATL would get similar use from its stadium, plus Final Fours. That's the difference with a new stadium in Buffalo or JAX. ATL could potentially get a decent deal as long as the league and the owner kick in enough

As a central hub for sports in the region, it would come into play for the college football playoff games, considering how bidding will work for that. Plus we already host conference championships, bowls, and a Final Four every 4 years.

This all leads me to say that, at best, it will be a retractable roof.

It's still freezing and ugly - same as it's ever been. At least the seats are red instead of seafoam green.

Green Bay Greg.

I don't think he lives in GB. If he did he wouldn't need a car. He could just walk anywhere

Damn. Everyone see Nastia Liukin wipe out on the uneven bars? Brutal. She's also like a foot taller than she was 4 years ago.

The ATL stadium will be a joint effort between the Falcons and the GWCC (Georgia World Congress Center) just as the Georgia Dome is. Right now, it looks like most of the funding will come from the Falcons and by continuing the hotel tax in downtown Atlanta. I believe they are still in the exploratory phase of cost and development.

They had talked about building a new open air stadium and keeping the dome for all other events but they deemed that to not be cost effective so the Falcons decided to give in to the retractable roof that the GWCC wanted.

Watching the NYG and GB playoff game. So gud.
I watched the whole run last week when I got the Road to the Super Bowl Blu-Ray. The Falcons game has a special place in my heart mainly because it was the game I was watching in the hospital while my wife was in labor.:D It's the first time I've watched it since it originally aired.

Man I hate when I am traveling somewhere and it is some ghetto Wisconsinesque city or town that doesn't have Verizon 4G internet. Going from 4G to 3G internet (I am talking real 4G, not that shit I get on my iPhone through AT&T) is like when some bullshit storm causes the broadcast of your favorite football team to go from HD to SD. Definitely some real first world problems!

I mean I don't even get FIOS where I live, though they have it in some houses a few miles from where I love, and now I have to fucking slum it up and surf the net and log into work on these speeds? Whats next Obama do I have to take the bus and sit next to Rors and his gf with the stinky pussy? Will I have to buy an American car or take a vacation in New Jersey.

I will vote for whoever will address and correct these civil injustices.

Giants 37 Packers 6 Refs 14...
Frankly, the first game between the two teams in Week 13 was worse. Easily one of the worst officiated games in recent memory (I watched it last night on Rewind) and I'm not one to bitch about ref calls. The missed Ballard TD call, the Jennings bobble....

As to the divisional game, the Jennings "fumble" was to me clearly a fumble but I can see how the leg being down could have been a consideration and since it was called down, they considered it not enough evidence to overturn. Irksome but eh...

The truly bad call in that game was the roughing the passer on Osi. That was an awful, awful call. Even moreso because they said it was because of contact to the head. Except there was absolutely none.

The drops were all over the place but Aaron didn't have a great game either. He missed some throws (badly) that he would normally make like it was nothing during the season. The one to Jennings where he was wide open in the zone being the worst, IMO. That was a sure TD.

I love heat until it gets near a 100 and above. Then it is a little much.

Playing sports outside in the heat is the best. Especially for old dudes with bad knees. The heat just gives your shitty joints some kind of super power where you feel like you have the knees of an 18 year old.

What sucks about the heat is walking around in a black suit or trying to sleep in it without AC.

I still prefer it to the cold though. God winter sucks. :(

"Find Bill a shitty WR that he can convert into a shitty CB."

Well he had a whole bunch of radio spot and columns to the effect of "Ryan Mallet and Bryan Hoyer are far better than Matt Flynn and Kevin Kolb I don't get why teams aren't falling over themselves to give the Pats some picks. "
